1. GWS    Brodie Grundie,
Western Sydney don't need another top young midfielder at this stage with Ward, Skully, Shiel, Greene,  but they do neen the dominant Ruck/Forward

2. GC      Lachie Whitefield
Will add depth to their building midfield

3. Melbourne Jimmy Toumpas
The Des need a tall but if they can't Grundy they may go with this superstar

4. Melbourne Dayle Garlett
Risky given the  debacle, will add a spark to the mids and play forward, they may go with Stringer

5. Bulldogs    Sam Mayes
Can add two gun forwards here and Mays fits the bill

6. Bulldogs    Jake Stringer
Won't let his slip their grasp

7. Port           Ben Kennedy
Don't need another gub forward but do need forward scoring power, would go Menzel if it wasn't for injuries

8. Brisbane     Lachlan Plowman
Brisbane are another who don't need to add midfield depth so will take the star backman

9. Richmond   Troy Menzel
can afford to take a risk in the exiting gun forward

10. Essendon  Joe Daniher
No Suprises, the Bombers get the steal

11. Carlton    Oliver Wines
Suprising to see him slip but based on needs so far, Carlton need a new gun midfielder

12. StKilda    Jackson McRae
Also need a new gun Midfielder

13. Melbourne Tim Membrey
With all the early picks get this luxury with Viney to come, the need forwards

14. North     John O'Rouke
May strenghten an impressive midfield

15. Geelong  Nick Vlaudstin
The Cats need to replenish the midfield to

16. Freemantle Mason Shaw
Need to plan for life beyond Pav

17. West Coast. Tanner Smith
Will they take a risk on a young backman?

18. Collingwood Josh Simpson
Hord to know what Collingwood are looking for

19. Adelaide     Sam Colquhoun
GOT HIM, Adelaide won't pass this up

20. Hawthorn   Matthew Haynes
May siut hawthorns style

21. Sydney      Kristian Jacksh
Swans need another Key Forward

kilbluff1985

would have thought Carlton need a key backman who can man up on opposition tall forwards or they could use a key forwards there midfield least of there problems

meow meow

Wines at #11? NO WAY he'll last that long.

The top ten picks really need other type of players so the mids should slip, true Carlton have greater needs but with only really Judd and Murphy. Simpson, Carrazzo, Scotland 30ish the others are more half back/forwards, another gun mid would suit

Very nice man!

I'd assume that we (eagles) would take Colquhoun over Smith...

We have Glass, Mackenzie, Brown, Schofield and even Blayne Wilson as fairly solid options as far as key big men go down back.

With guys like Sheppard, Ash Smith, Waters and Butler being severely injury prone/inconsistent I reckon we would be doing well to pick up this fella.

My two cents anyway :)

Ringo

Think Brisbane will be chasing forward depth - We are well suited for backs.  may take Wines though if he was still available.

I would also be fairly surprised of Wines slipped that for though tbh...

Capper

So do the Dees take Viney with their 2nd round pick??

Obviously Daniher goes to the dons but do they need another tall?? Will Hille move on then??

Ziplock

atrocious spelling and grammar, but apart from that solid :P

The Eagles have Hurn very similar to Colquhoun I think, Brisbane have a few developig forwards but are they any good? I'd be suprised to see Wines slip out past 10 but I did my list based on what I believe best suits the clubs, Melbourne should get Viney with their 2nd pick (20 something) as long as GWS and GC don't bid for him, and why would they?

Kellogscrunchynut

How come Melbourne and Bulldogs have 2 first round picks?

Nice write up by the way I wouldn't have a clue who would be picked where at this stage.

Compo picks for losing Scully + Ward i think

Torpedo10

Would be very interesting if GWS take Whitfield or Grundy.

I'd happily have two Hurn's running off half-back ;)

Sliam

wait why are the adelaide and hawthorn picks before Sydney?

Didn't we finish 3rd and therefore get 3rd last pick?
