Koby Stevens has signed with the Western Bulldogs for 2013.

Will you look at him for your team?

At that price it's still highly unlikely, you can get a rook for 100k less that shouldn't score too much worse, there's a fair chance they will even do better

Ricochet

Would still rather Ball tbh, but Koby will get plenty of opportunities at the Dogs

I think one is enough considering there will be some quality mid rooks on offer...

And I agree with ric here, ball is more proven but koby is enticing!

Definitely not having any more than one Midpricer in the mids (if any at all) with the quality crop of 100-150k rooks coming through this year. Especially considering Koby will probably score similar to these rooks. So an extra 50-100k saved in the midfield for no loss of points, means an upgrade of say Bugg to Birchall in the backline

Holz

im now considering a cheap midfield. The only problem is there are soo many good cheap forward options.

Im considering Ablett, Swan, Pendles, Ball, Stevens, Wines (Omeara, Rookie)

Bulldogs midfield is the only decent thing they have. Boyd, Griffin, Cooney, Cross, Wallis are all in front of Stevens.. cant see him getting too much time in the middle, maybe the odd rotation here and there, wouldnt be expecting big scores thats for sure.. Probably better rookies out there who will get more game time in lesser midfields..

Yeah that's a decent point although Cooney misses more games than he plays pretty much. Definitely considering, will watch over pre season

Ziplock

libbas ahead of him as well most likely.

that being said, cooney with his injuries is going to be in and out all the time, while cross and boyd will probably get rested occasionally to preserve them, and wallis and libba are still young enough to rotate out occasionally if their bodies aren't holding up to the stress.

Dogs have no depth after their first choice mids though, which means every time one of those blokes is out, stevens will be in. He'll probs end up playing 16-18.

nostradamus

l'll be looking at him very closely.......the doggies recruited him for a reason. He's always been very highly rated, so it'll come down to how he's used in pre-season and how he performs in that role. But one thing's for sure, that he'll be busting a gut to take his chances after years of frustration with the Weagles

Manbearpig

He's a spud and everyone who gets him will want to trade him out for a gun rookie within two rounds. The Caddy of 2013.

Interesting....

Quote15. Koby Stevens (Western Bulldogs)
The tall, tough, inside midfielder perfectly fits Brendan McCartney’s blueprint and at 22 the Dogs think he’s ready to explode. A ferocious tackler, he was starved of games due to West Coast’s star-studded midfield but should slot into the Whitten Oval mix immediately.
