Jordan Murdoch - Geelong (requested by Ricochet)

Position: FWD

Price: $317,700 (Fanplanner)

2011 Games: (not yet drafted)

2012 Games: 7

2011 Average: N/A

2012 Average: 68.6

2012 Tons: 0

Summary: It took until round 14 for Murdoch to start his Geelong career and he started it well with an 88. As expected from a rookie, there was absolutely no consistency but signs of scoring ability. A 96 in round 22 may have been a hint of things to come. However, I think the risk of picking up a second year player who costs $317.7k and didn't show consistency or brilliance in his 7 games isn't a risk worth taking. Ric, you requested him, is there anything I've missed?

Verdict: Not for me. I'd like to see how he goes for another year and then assess for 2014.

LH's prediction: 75

Thanks LH I really rate this guy and think he'll go close to 80 next year but yeh it's too risky

At a cheaper price, he'd be worth considering (I enjoyed watching him) but, as you said, too risky. You'd want to be thinking 85-90 range if you were to take a gamble.

Not a hassle! I need people to keep suggesting unique guys so that, for one, I have something to contribute and, secondly, I can find out who some smokeys for next year are ;)

yeh normally i wouldnt look at second year players but being 21 next year and in a team thats probably on the rebuild, i think he'll get plenty of opportunities

317k  :o

definately not at that price
sub-250, maybe he'd get in.... but no where near at that price

Was super keen on this bloke for next season but I really can not believe that price.
So will be looking somewhere else.
