Brisbane Reserves win NEAFL Grand Final Trophy.

Despite resting 8 Lions listed players to ensure adequate resting the Lions reserves ran over Queenbeyan this afternoon to win the GF Cup 22:12 - 144 to 11:9 - 75.  Congratulations to Sam Michael for winning the Andrew Ireland Medal as best on ground.

From a Lions list perspective great send off to Cheyne Stiller and Amon Buchannan who must have also been close to best on ground.

Lisle kicked 9 goals as well so trust that keeps his name prominent for next year

Michael must have played one hell of a game to beat a guy who kicks 9 in the granny for best on :o

Michael played the whole game as Ruck (in the absence of Longer) and was outstanding in this as well as work around the ground. Was very instrumental in getting the Lions first use of the ball enablling it to go forawrd to Lisle who owned the FF position.
