I'm happy.
I started with Matty Wright + Dennis Amrfield and turned them into Dusty Martin and Stephen Hill  :P

I just had a look at how the Bears' team for 2013 looks, it's actually a lot better than I first realised.  :(

you honestly think robbo will outscore martin by enough to worry about? i don't think he gets as much mid time under Mick if gibbs is coming into the mids especially, unless carrots stops rotating through and judd plays fwd - can't see that happening...

anyway we will see, i think robbo martin and wright are all pretty much apples for apples just robbo is more established as a premium but also less room for improvement than the other two who have just really broken out.

time will tell,

and @ JROO8 in the end that is a slight upgrade over the two players if you ask me so yeah god job.

and @ NigeyS all preseason the Bears have been ranked 2nd and for a brief moment 1st, great team, bit light on for developing talent which may bring about a tough patch in a season or three like all the top teams but right now great team.

tbagrocks

Unless Dustu does actually go bang, Wright will be the better scorer here

Adamant

*waits for Nails to go on a rant about me losing the trade*

Toga

Yeah really like some of the top teams (mine included) but reckon there could be some retirements not far away which will leave is in a rough patch.

What happens with retirements? Do we get compensation based on their worth? ???

Haha Colli, I hear ya. They are pretty even, I guess my reaction was more or less for the reason you stated in Robbo being more recognised as a premium, but you are definitely spot on. Even as a Tigers fan, I'm still a little concerned as to how Martin will go, but I'd love for him to go nuts and pull out some massive scores though.

Pretty much my thoughts too Colli. I think Dusty will tear it up this year, but I had to bring in Robbo for safety.

I do however disagree with you saying that Robbo has no more room for improvement. After all, he is only 2 years older than Dusty.

He had a serious eye injury late in the year which affected his last 2 games. He also missed the 4 weeks prior due to the injury. Removing these games and his average shoots up about 5 points.

Mick doesn't generally tag, so Robbo shouldn't be finding himself getting jobs as often or at all. I think he'll increase his average by at least 5ppg.

Another factor in the straight swap was that Dusty is pretty much guaranteed to be a pure mid in the next 2 years, whereas Robbo should keep it for quite some time. Dusty's off field issues (rumours) are also pretty concerning...

Woah, woah, what is this? Am I actually seeing a Folders coach saying another team is a realistic threat to our premiership! :o

I'm disappointed Nigey, you have obviously failed to see that a Bear has no chance against the superior organisational skills that a Manila Folder provides one with.

Don't pick on Nails he never upsets anybody here, an outstanding member of the AXVS community, where would we be without Nails, he is a joy and a ray of happy sunshine in the thread at all times...  :P

@ Toga, no you get NOTHING - just like an AFL club, that is why you SHOULD run a balanced list. When a player retires or is deisted you can only replace them with a player you draft in the national draft.

when you draft players in the national draft and none of your list has retired or been delisted - you need to delist players to make room on your list for the draft picks you CHOOSE to take. i.e if you have pick 120 you might not want to delist anyone to get the player you would pick at pick 120, or delist one anyway and promote a rookie off your rookie list instead.

@ Adamant, yeah robbo can improve a little on his current ability and yes his scoring was down last season due to

a) injury
b) dud coach and game plan)
c) some run with lock down roles which your right Mick doesn't roll that way the great man is a friend of fantasy football coaches :)

@ BB = Classic :)
