How does that help your premiership hopes? It doesn't at all.

Walker is far from shower, he'll go 110-115+ under Mick.

Broughton had a shower year as well, he'll be around the 115 mark too.

This also gives me better flexibilty and depth with Broughton's DPP.

I don't rate Lester and couldn't care less about trading him for Shaw. Much of a muchness IMO.

I approve this with great reluctance, my reasons are as follows...

1. both parties are very happy with the trade and insist on wanting it.

2. the players being traded favour one side, however not by SO MAY points as to give the trade winning team an unfair advantage over other teams.

( this because masten and blair and certainly NOT premiums, they are clearly a level below premium especially masten as he is mid only)

Not to the rest of the teams I passed it reluctantly but in fairness to these two teams, the rules WERE NEVER that a trade had to be even, and to pass other uneven trades and not this one would be unfair.

the rules are RIDICULOUS UNEVEN, AND UNFAIR ADVANTAGE.

i think this falls short in both categories JUST !

That's like a 60ppg advantage... That's like a 4% bonus to some teams. HUGELY unfair and ridiculous imo. I vote to veto/get this trade reviewd (we can do this can't we?)

I think that this trade is ridiculously uneven. I mean you are trading two young guns for two players who might have some potential who are each a year younger. Really I don't know what the unfair trade rule is in for if trades like this still get passed....

TWO young guns  who have shown they are guns for two players pretty much who haven't shown much of anything at pretty much the same age. Ridiculous. It's like trading Rockliff and Redden for 2 blokes drafted 2 seasons ago who MIGHT be good

You seem to think every player who has a bad season will improve... Have you not heard of just being bad or having one good season? There's no guarantee Broughton will be better than last year.

Players can have /bad/ seasons but they're not really bad. It's just how they are now.

Overall your team (based roughly on 2012 predictions) now averages less.

this is one of the FACTS that got the trade through. motlop WILL improve and so WILL harper, blair and masten won't much if at all, so that 30 point a game differential should be less by the end of 2013 making the trade more even in reality.

We at the Eskimos feel Steven Motlop is a long term prospect who, along with Hibberd, will become the foundations for our backline for years to come. (Once Motlop gets that) We also feel Harper is a long term prospect as key forwards are gold in this gme and they often take longer to mature. Masten we feel will stagnate this year with Wellingham and the return of Embley and Blair will the arrival of Clinton Young and return of Ball, and Collingwoods new playing style.

2012 averages are irrelevant. Fyfe averaged only 117 last year ffs. ::)

IN: Boyd, Harvey, Broughton, Walker, M.Shaw

Blair 104 vs. Harper 70 = 34 advantage

Masten 113 vs. Motlop 81 = 32 point advantage

= 66 points gained 2 player vs. 2 player

So basically the team gaining Blair and Masten don't even lose Harper because they gain 66 points (4 short of Harper's) average in this trade.

I definitley agree that Lewis is much better than Walker, but Broughton is easily better than Brennan.

His DPP is so valuable too, especially with Boomer missing the first 6 weeks...
