Blair = Pick 127
Masten Pick 159

Harper Pick 359
Motlop Pick 276
In Euros last season i got 2 guys who were picked higher than the two i traded away. And at the end of the season i regretted the trade.

Just sayin.

But seriously Harper will never be a fantasy player and Motlop is ordinary at best.

Adamant

Why doesn't JB just throw a sweetener in or something?

Justin Bieber

When my bad trade got rejected. I threw in Hartlett.

not masten at 105 for harper at 75

this is one of the FACTS that got the trade through. motlop WILL improve and so WILL harper, blair and masten won't much if at all, so that 30 point a game differential should be less by the end of 2013 making the trade more even in reality.

You realise Masten is 113 and Harper is 70? That's 43 points not 30.

You can't guarantee it's a FACT Motlop/Harper will improve. There's no guarantee. They might never improve. That's like guaranteeing Tambling was going to be a star.

Seriously Nails? Not a great argument.

You can't guarantee for a FACT that any of the players tbag or one of the teams going for young guns got will improve either. Does that mean they have no currency in the trade market and would that stop a trade being approved for one of them and a premium?

As pointed out above Boyd was pick 21 in the rookie draft. Cox was also a late pick in the rookie draft. Would you have brought them into your team when they were young before they broke out - no.

But, in this style of game (drafting not dt) if you have a player when they break out you benefit greatly.

We're picking them up now before they do.

Iv got a back door deal for JPK and Shuey to get general soreness over the next two seasons against the Eskimoes.

Do you even know how the rookie draft used to work?

And you can't compare real life AFL drafts to Fantasy drafts, they look for totally different things.

You're trading out 2 players who have already broken out for players you hope will increase to the level of the players you just traded out.

How the flower is Motlop going to be defender?? Varcoe will be a defender and Motlop will get delisted a year.

Harper is probably the worst player in the comp. Soft as anything, weak as piss, outside player, cannot win the ball, averages 20 in DT

I see two spuds for two good players.

Let's look at the draft:

Blair = Pick 127
Masten Pick 159

Harper Pick 359
Motlop Pick 276

Come on Cw. Make the right choice.

Harper worst player in AFL? lol

Motlop delisted? even bigger LOL

Clearly you know flower all about footy, go hire 15 assistants to do you bidding for you.

Thank you JB.

I remember last season Kevin Sheedy said if he'd stayed at the Bombers he would have tried to trade away Jobe Watson and look at him now.

Both these kids - Harper and Motlop have played two seasons and showed plenty of potential, but they're not nearly at their full potential. Masten and Blair have played more than that and I judge their potential to be less than the aforementioned players.

PS - I love a good bit of controversy/banter so bring it! At least this is bring all the coaches out of the woodwork :D

Don't judge the trade until the end of this season. Then i'll tell you if we made a mistake or not.

dont wont to way into this too much. Harper is a good player, he is being groomed as the replacement of Boomer, rated very highly at North and I rate him as one of our best young players.

Will likely keep forward status all his career playing of that HFF and drifting into the midfield from time to time. His average is decimated from green vests. I predict he will get none this year as he has worked hard in the off season and expext someone new to pick up the vest.

Justin Bieber

Well JB surely will back you up... He is getting Ablett for Dawson.

No. You wanted him in the initial draft and I said no spuds.
