Watson and Thompson are my 2 locks at the moment. Not sure if i will start 3 or 4 prems. Gaj or Swan will miss out which is crazy
Thompson :o
What's wrong with Thommo? One of the biggest ball junkies in the game!
He will be 30 in March, only averaged 105 last year and cant see him improving to average 110+ (which is what you want from your premo mids). You can get Pendles for only 30k extra and Murphy/Redden/Danger for  10-20k cheaper...

tbagrocks

I can actually see him averaging higher in the next two years, here's why!

With Sloane, Wright, Crouch and Dangerfield clubs will look to tag these guys as the improve and dominate, this will leave Thommo in his twilight to do Boyd, Swan like stuff and get big numbers and be let lose to run free. Just a thought!

Fair enough, just think there is much better value to start with.

This thread got recussitated a month later :O

Scotty Thompson is a big no-no for me, good player and all could average 108-111 but can't see him getting close to bumping either Swan, Stants or Murphy from my midfield premos.

Love that my midfield hasn't changed in a month ;D

Hmm, I had Murphy locked, but apparently he's having more surgery on his shoulder...thinking he may start slow, and therefore a better upgrade target?

Wow interesting. First I heard of that. Good find!

Maybe, but he still has about 120 days before the nab cup kicks off so he should be okay.

Certainly something to monitor though ;)

If this is serious though, Cotchin oozes class and Joel Selwood screams bargain at me!?

Wont be picking Jelwood again after this year - very consistent, but has seem to have lost his big ceiling.

Its Cotchin v Mundy v Ball for my M4. Really like Mundy as a POD.

What do you think - Cotchin + Gray or Mundy + Zaha?

Wow, that is one long holiday. At least it will stop you from being tempted to change your side ;D

Over $100K cheaper than GAJ and Swan and can still produce. Boyd is a definite no for next year

can't wait to see how many selections boyd doesn't  get next year
