A hot topic has been which midfield premiums to start with for 2013. Which will you be looking to start with and/or are in your fanplanner team atm?

ATM have locked in GAJ and Swan. With one more premo spot left, it's a tight fight between Pendles, Lids and Cotchin

kilbluff1985

you missed a few guys like Deledio, Redden , JPK, Kelly, Mitchell

Only three premos? Wow that's risky.

See why I entered an 'Other' category. Can't see too many coaches picking those 5 when there are super lads up there.

Yeah, I'm having at least one midpricer (Ball), and I'm trying to leave 1 mill leftover for when the actual prices come out.

Cotchin, Pendle, Murphy to date are locks for me, unless injured at season start. They all offer upside. Ablett and swan are not guaranteed to start in my team due to there heavy price tags. I have no doubts Cotchin will be able to carry the captains armband.

tbagrocks

four starting midfielders to ave 110

Jack Redden, Paddy Dangerfield, Trent Cotchen, Mark Murphy  ;D

Tyes

Swn, Ablett, Pendles and Murph for me. Maybe Cotchin if I start 5 premos.

At present only have Ablett and Pendles locked. The others will likely depend on bye rounds, cash issues and preseason form/reports. At this stage will be looking to add Boyd and Cotchin to them but Swan, Murphy and Watson are in the mix. Boyd has consistently pumped out big scores for years and is as durable as they come, with Griff and others improving in that midfield it's gonna take some attention away from him and he should continue to do well. I'm honestly a little surprised about the lack of love for Boyd but it seems he always floats under the radar in the off season then ends up in everyones teams come R1 anyway

Swan, GAJ, Cotchin and Murphy for me. If I can't afford it I may drop GAJ for a unique and have him as an upgrade target

I'm thinking of doing the same thing or if I need the money Gary to Ball.

Footy_Boiz

Swan, pendles, Murphy and redden for me. Ball or embley or even rischa for a pod to fight it out for m5

Reckon the best mid to go with this season would be two of Swanny, GAJ and Cotchin, one of Murphy/Redden/Beams/Watson, Ball/Embley, then two first rounders like Whitefield and Vines then O'Meara and Crouch/Mitchell.

Don't fancy going 5 premiums or 4 and Ball/Embers because there are just too many brilliant rookies to choose from in the middle, reckon.

Was about to make a thread like this.

Swan, GAJ, Pendles, Murphy for me  :)

I would only possibly consider Lids & Redden from that bunch  :P
