When Vardy came back at the end of this season he did play quite a bit forward with West doing the main rucking job. HMac will take the #1 ruck spot this year, but I think Vardy will probably stay in the team spending most of his time up forward? I don't think the Cats really have anyone else who could do a second ruck job too effectively, besides maybe Hawkins.

Still his price does seem a little too expensive for ruck cover, I am thinking of going for a Berger, HMac combo for my rucks, so I haven't really decided whether or not it would be an advantage having Vardy in my team yet.

I think Vardy will play over Pods in Geelongs Fwd line .He should rise in price although probably not much and be a good downgrade to one of Grundy , Witts or Daw if and when they are on the bubble .Rather do that than have to do a sideways trade .

I am thinking about starting with this ruck;

Z.Smith, N. Vardy, D, Currie, S. Rowe.

1. What does everyone think of Vardy for R2?

2. How long H Mac out?
