Vardy is one of the best young ruckmen in the competition and after missing most of season 2012 with injury, he is going to be cheap in 2013 and with a strong pre season he is definitely worth a look. Vardy will be 22 next year and entering his 4th AFL season and with Geelong's weak ruck division will be given plenty of games and is a good chance to average more than 70+. If Vardy has a strong pre season he is someone to keep your eye on at $208k!

Depending on byes though next year we are going to need strong bench cover. And there's no deffinate Giles or zac smith like previous years that you no are guaranteed 20+ games.

There isn't really any good rookie priced rucks next year.
Daniher and Grundy will hardly get games in their first seasons so why not spend the extra 50K and get a reliable R3 and a good cash cow.

With HMAC now a cat, Vardy's stocks will go down. Dont now if they will play both Vardy and HMAC every week

No doubt this guy will be a great player, but with Hmac joining the cats and at this price I won't be picking him up anymore

Wouldn't be surprised if Vardy pushes West out of the side. West is a beter ruckemn ATM but Vardy can play fwd and West cant so it could be a HMAC and Vardy combo at the Cats!

plenty of ppl jumping on the Vardy train, can they play both he and Hmac in the same side?

Hmac has played 8 games in 2 seasons anyway so if he broke down Vardy would be the man would he not...

Vardy will play but dont think he is good enough for a starting spot and he's too expensive for the bench so he's a no go for me
