Who should Essendon target in the National and PreSeason Drafts & Trade week?

tbagrocks

SA forwards Sam Mayes or Menzels brother Troy with your first pick, or a tough midfielder or three

Joe Daniher with their first pick?

Torpedo10

Daniher is probably our 1st pick in Nat draft.

stupid rule that the Bombers can't get another top draft pick and have to use the first pick on the farther son, fu again Demetriou

It is pretty dumb. should be used on 1st,2nd or 3rd picks OR have 2 first rounders one after another.

JBs-Hawks

Hows that a stupid rule when they are getting someone who would have gone top 3 at a lower pick?

Ziplock

you should trade your first pick for caddy, and use your pick (24?) to get daniher under the FS rule. That's how it works right?

in my view it's a win- you get an already partially developed top 10 pick, + another top 10 pick, for like pick 8 and 24, or w.e you have

you get the idea.

How would you feel if you made the draft and your father, cousins and uncles had all played at 1 club and you went to another? It could cause Family disruption and probably turn away sons of former stars. That would hurt the game. Maybe it's fair enough though.  :-\

JBs-Hawks

It would be the club not the afl who put the player in that position. They have first rights on the player and if they choose not to activate their pick then thats their prerogative.

Your just upset because in the case because your team gets what you think is rough. How about the crows they lost out on  Gibbs because the twilight of his dads career was after the crows started so the games tally didn't quite add up to the necessary amount in the time frame allocated

actually the Crows lost Gibbs because Ross played his 200th game in 1990 the year the club was formed, even though they entered in 91 ::) so yeah, robbed blind

Yea something like that
:-\ That is unfair. But I don't understand how he played 200 games for Crows and Bryce didn't go to Crows via F/S rule. who did he play the other games for?

JBs-Hawks

Before 1990 you had to play 200 sanfl games for 1 of the 4/5 crows sanfl teams,  Ross played 200 for glenelg but his 200th was after the 1990 cut off date.
