Took a punt on him in AXV. Relying on him being a DPP

Will be a DT lock if so :)

P.S I'm 70% sure he will be
He might be a lock, depends on price. If he pulls out 60s like he did in 2012.......

94 average mate, as long as he keeps that all is well.

SHOULD be DPP. SHOOOOUUUUUULLLLLLDDDDD

Colliwobblers

I think not, he should be but I think based on his average and liklihood of hitting that average or more likely more they will keep him as MID only for one more season.

Average score comes into plenty of mids that should have been made DPP last season but weren't - always the same.

The other thing is they don't want to have players be an autoselection for every team

ala Gibbs would have been in 2012 if he was kept DPP DEF/MID  - so they took it off him. This time Delidio will lose it :)

Gibbs might get it back but then again there is that average points thing and the issue with "if they do" everyone picks him....

Yeah but every other year Gibbs 'was' a defender he was an auto lock in just about every team as is Goddard and was Deledio it wasnt until they started playing massive amounts of midfield time that they lost it... Im hoping losing such players as Beams and Sidebum we gain a Rockliff  :)

Windigo

Still wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't....Then again Beams, Steele, Martin all got it this year.  :-\

I remember asking Warnie from DT Talk about the possibility of Dusty Martin getting DPP last year and he said "Virtualsports make their decisions based on Championship data stats"

Mr.Craig

A bit of background on DPP from R.L Griffin's article at DT Talk in July -

The ones who make the decision on DPP status is Champion Data, not Virtual Sports, the creator of AFL Dream Team, like some (including myself) would initially think. I contacted Champion Data to find out what gives a player Dual Position status.

Champion Data, despite the seemingly odd missed tackle, are the best at what they do in the country. They record, compile, and analyse the nine AFL matches each week, looking at every stat â€" from number of marks dropped by Tom Derickx, to time spent in the pack pocket watching grass grow for Greg Broughton and Bryce Gibbs. All of this data is then collaborated for publication at the start of each year for the release the AFL Prospectus. Here’s the important bit…

According to Champion Data; “during the writing of the AFL Prospectus all the [Champion Data] writers meet to discuss position changes for the upcoming season. The use of statistics, heat maps, playing history and vision helps us in our decision on the positions”. Roughly translated, Dual Position Players are chosen at the discretion of Champion Data, based on available data (both statistical and visual), looking at where a player plays on the field and where they have played previously.

We all watch footy, so just like the Super Coach players will ask, who made the god?

with martin joinging brisbane whats the thoughts of rockliff going no where near the forward line. lions should line up like this

Martin, Brown, McGrath
Green, Lisle, Bewick

Toga

Someone mentioned it on my FanPlanner (i think it was Barra?), just thought I'd bring it up here:

How will Moloney's recruitment affect Tommy Rock? Less mid time?

Barra17

Yeah that was me. Just the sheer build and the skills he has, I see him getting put straight in the mids.

So someone will have to miss out... Black/Redden/Rich/Rocky....

I could see Rich being used of a HBF with the kicking skills he has... and Blacky's getting older... But there is the possiblity it would be rocky being stuck up at FF again..

Although as Strikes said, what does Stef Martin's inclusion mean that that won't be necessary?

Gah this is putting doubt in my mind :(
