could he move in front of kosi?

I'd pick Stephen Hawkins ahead of Kosi. :P

Seriously though, it's not out of the realms of possibility that they could finally give up on Kosi and let someone new have a chance.

Tim O'Brien

Birthday - 28/3/94
192cm/81kg
Glenelg
Price/Position - $102,700 Fwd

Drafted Round 2 Pick 28 Hawthorn

O'Brien is a tall forward who performed reasonably well in the Under 18 Championships for S.A, putting in scores of 94 (6.0 vs Tasmania), 45, 67, 49 and 36. Tim spent most of the year playing in the SANFL reserves for Glenelg with his DT score being 49, 34, 76. 49, 54, 41, 101, 52, 64, 35 and 25. He may turn out to be a quality AFL footballer one day but he should be avoided as a Dream Team selection. O'Brien often gathers under 10 disposals a game, doesn't tackle much and takes a surprisingly low number of marks for a forward. The Hawks view him as a project player so he is unlikely to play in the seniors for some time yet.

Kevin Sheehan says: “Tall, quick moving forward whose X-factor is his overhead marking. Averaged five marks and 2.2 goals per game in the NAB AFL Under-18 Championships and is a reliable set shot for goal. His six goals against Tasmania in Round One was a highlight.”

S.A Under 18's coach Brenton Phillips says: "He's a bit of a complete package in terms of his physical attributes, with his running capacity pretty sound. And he just attacks the ball in the air and he really tries to take the ball at its highest point. He's a fair handful once he gets up and going. He's a very, very good pick if a club could get him around that 25 mark, [and] it wouldn't surprise me at all if he went earlier."

Kamdyn McIntosh

Birthday - 3/4/94
192cm/78kg
Peel Thunder
Price/Position - $102,700 Def

Drafted Round 2 Pick 31 Richmond

In my continuing quest to find viable backline picks I present to you Kamdyn McIntosh. A latecomer to football having switched from soccer when he was 14, Kamdyn has played a variety of roles in his short career but is trying to mould himself into a full back. He is an impressive young man, working 2 jobs while juggling footy and his responsiblities in helping to look after many of his eight siblings. This shows he has great application but there are downsides too, in that he hasn't had the time to focus on his development in the same way that other young players have. Having been surprisingly picked up by Richmond instead of a W.A club his JS prospects have improved slightly but at this stage they still appear questionable.

McIntosh performed well at the national combine, ranking highly in the kicking test (27/30) and the beep test (14.8). The most impressive aspect is that McIntosh has increased his DT average as he's stepped up in competition levels this year...

Colts - 33, 47, 40, 78, 62, 70, 51, 106 (Ave: 60.8)
Reserves - 69, 69 (Ave: 69)
League - 71, 99, 65, 63 (Ave: 74.5)

Kamdyn played four games in the Under 18 Champs with modest scores of 53, 39, 60 and 13. As with ruckman, key defenders can take a few years to find their feet but he's well worth keeping on the radar if he looks like getting a game.

Kevin Sheehan says: “Tall defender with a very good combination of pace and endurance. Versatile defender capable of playing on medium and talls. Played four matches for WA at the NAB AFL Under 18 Championships closing down dangerous opponents and providing good run from defence. Acquitted himself well in four matches at senior level for Peel, averaging 17.5 disposals, five marks and three tackles.”

Lachie Whitfield

Birthday - 18/7/94
184cm/74kg
Team - Dandenong Stingrays
Fanplanner Price - $168,200

Whitfield is widely tipped to be this year's No.1 draft pick. A left-footed, outside midfielder he has been praised for his running and work rate. He was selected in the 2011 Under 18 All Australian Team which boasted such names as Brandon Ellis, Taylor Adams, Toby Greene, Stephen Coniglio, Clay Smith and Chad Wingard. Once again in 2012 he was chosen in the team. This year he also won the Larke medal which was awarded to Coniglio last season. His DT scores in the TAC this year have been 135, 98, 90, 138, 111, 114, 105 and 78.

Kevin Sheehan says: “Classy medium midfielder with rare awareness and decision-making ability complemented by skills either side with hands and feet. Is naturally gifted with speed and endurance and is strong overhead. All-Australian at NAB AFL Under-18 level in 2011 and winner of AFL Life Members Scholarship. Backed it up this year winning the Larke Medal and All-Australian honours averaging 23.2 disposals. Another player who has been through the AIS-AFL Academy.”

Whitfield, Toumpas and Plowman are the best 3 young players.

are you saying that because its been reported that they are going to be GWS's first 3 picks in the draft

......Whitfield and Toumpas are no-brainers, but there were a few raised eyebrows and excitement from opposition recruiters that Plowman might be taken at 3

#224
Jake Neade

Birthday - 20/3/94
170cm/64kg
Club - North Ballarat/Port Adelaide
Price/Position - $108,500 Fwd/Mid

Neade is a small forward in every sense of the term (standing at just 5 foot 5 inches) who hails from the remote town of Elliott, about halfway between Alice Springs and Darwin. In 2011 he relocated to St.Patrick's College in Ballarat to further his studies and football career. In recent years the school has produced a number of quality AFL players including Clinton Young, Shaun Grigg, James McDonald and Drew Petrie along with Dom Barry who has been picked up by Melbourne.

Jake starred in the Under 18 Champs this year, being named as an All Australian while averaging 18.4 touches and recording scores of 101, 86, 66, 53 and 58. He was also impressive at the national draft combine, finishing in the top five for the 3km time trial and goal kicking test. In the TAC he played 12 games for the Rebels, kicking 19 goals and being named in the best 5 times, producing scores of 92, 52, 55, 89, 78, 33, 47, 77, 61, 74, 56 and 35.

Neade, a GWS zone selection, was traded to Port along with Jack Hombsch for Pick 29 in the draft. He will need to compete with Ebert, Gray and Hitchock for the available small forward roles but I could see him playing a handful of games in 2013. Whether or not that makes him a good DT pick, only time will tell.

Kevin Sheehan says: “Pocket rocket midfielder/forward who attacks the ball aggressively and tackles strongly. Has terrific speed and endurance and is very creative in setting up the play. Had an outstanding NAB AFL Under-18 Championships averaging 18.4 disposals and 3.6 tackles in winning the Harrison Medal (Div 2 B&F) and All-Australian honours.”

NT Under 18 Coach Brenton Toy says: "I haven't coached a kid who has been more aggressive, urgent or competitive - that's the key to him, his competitiveness," Toy said. He's a ripper. Everyone would have talked about his size but he plays well and truly above his weight range. Whenever the ball is in a contested situation on the ground, I would just about back him against anybody, regardless of how big they are. His aggression, his tackling and his work inside the contest is very much like Cyril."
