Hey guys, just reporting something I heard along the grapevine. My gf lives in Glenelg and know the parents of some Glenelg players. My gf's mum ran into Matt McDonough's mum the other day. Apparently he was going to play vs WC but injured himself at training that week, but he has been guaranteed at least one game before the end of the season so take that as you will :)

That sounds about right. :)

Here's a few rookie scores from the state leagues this weekend...

Jackson Thurlow - 60
Matt McDonough - 51
Brad Hartman - 71
Dan Currie - 110
Liam McBean  63
Nick Graham - 101
Taylor Garner - 82
Kyle Hartigan - 101
Brad Crouch - 57
Tom Clurey - 44
Justin Hoskin - 63
Callum Sinclair - 79
Tanner Smith - 77

...and big boy Jesse Hogan had a lazy 16 kicks, 7 handballs, 12 marks, 3 tackles and kicked 4.3 for a total of 139 DT.  8)

Hey MC, what are your thoughts on Daniher as a downgrade option this week? how important is he?

I'm not sure if he is really that worth it as we have a couple of good options in Clisby & Hunter on the bubble next week, Joe D is also pretty pricey...

But there aren't many decent forward rooks with good JS coming through besides Daniher, so should we take him while he's available?

I'm not touching him. It's not that I think his JS is bad or he's too expensive but I'm doing a couple of upgrades this week and then I'll take Clisby or Hunter next round. I guess it depends a lot on your forward line and cash situation.

Aside from Clisby you have McDonough, Michie, Simpson or Richards who could come through or maybe one of Spangher, Taberner, Menzel, Lee or Oxley could be fortunate enough to get a second chance and hold a spot. So there are a few options out there. Personally I've been thinking about getting Oxley in soon as either an F8 or D8 just to make some money off the trade and if he doesn't play it won't be a biggie.

Was going to jump on big Joe this week as I needed a downgrade, but since he's been dropped, who would you suggest I take the punt on a week early? Clisby or Hunter? Neither will be on field, I just need money to make an upgrade. Leaning towards Clisby.

Thanks MC. :)

Always hard to make a judgement call after one game. Clisby probably has a bit better JS, is cheaper and could be linked through DPP with Staker but Lachie definitely has a scoring advantage. Hunter was averaging 112 in the VFL compared to Clisby's 68.2.

I'm getting one of them next week and am leaning towards Hunter at this point.

its me lads

I was planning on jumping on one of them a week earlier.

Hutchings or K-Mart who has the better JS?? Hutchings is good for the loophole for me. If he scores 100+ he is my emergency. I'll slap Cotchin on the bench and put Hrovat on the field and collect Hutchings points instead of Cotchin's :) I think Tunbridge will get the vest and with Scooter out for so long I think Hutchings JS should be rising quite high whilst Beams will soon be set to return and although Bennedy & Dwyer seems more obvious candidates I can't help but wonder with K-Mart

So far my game plan is see who is sub in tonight's game and if it's Hutchings I'll reverse trades and get K-Mart and if it's someone else I'll keep Hutchings as my Vlastuin downgrade :) What's your thoughts on JS when it comes to Hutchings v K-Mart??

Mr.Craig

I doubt Hutchings would have been back if not for Embley and Selwood being unavailable, who's to say he won't be dropped again?. Martin has played three solid games and I see no reason why he can't hold his postition.

haha okay K-Mart it is. What will happen when Beams returns? also if Beams returns will it most likely be when K-Mart has basically peaked?

That's right. Martin will have made well over 200k at his current average before Beams returns.

With Shuey being injured now along with the other midfield injuries you don't think that West Coasts midfield stocks have dwindled enough for him to keep his spot for some time?
