Any decent options for NEXT week going into the byes Mr. Craig? Just had a sneak peak, not looking too good :/

I'm sure a lot of attention will be on Hutchings, Staker, Colquhoun and Crouch this week.

Next week Hrovat and Grimley will have byes so they aren't options. I guess Gorringe is there if you're game, probably has decent JS as long as he can hold off Nicholls. Burbury would certainly be a risk. Dunno, doesn't seem like much else right now unless someone debuts this week and you take a punt on them.

Reckon it will be Staker in this week, then Gorringe in next week, then Hrovat in after round 11 (assuming named) then who knows after round 12 :-\ maybe some 150k-200k players will enter the fray...

Mr.Craig

The next month will certainly be a challenge.

At least everyone is in the same boat :P I actually enjoy the challenge of the byes tbh (don't all shoot me at once haha)

Looking at my team now I am happy with the players and structure going into the byes, just hoping that spuds don't get injured/suspended/dropped and ruin everything haha (inevitable).

Mr.Craig

I'm used to charging through the field during the byes but this time around I've got a nice ranking and am just trying to limit any potential damage.

Love your work as usual Mr Craig. Ok.... I will be looking for a forward rookie (more-so for my SC) in the next few weeks once Kerridge it Macaffer bottom out. Unfortunately have had to put Staker into my backline so can't be him. Anyone on the radar mate??

Not sure if this was already posted, but last week Martin had 6 goals, 29 disposals, 10 tackles, 183 DT points, 203 SC.
He's averaged 134 in his VFL matches this year. He will be a friggin' legend of the game.

I posted this last week, it gives a rundown of some potential options...

A few rookies who might be coming along sometime soon...

Nathan Hrovat played his 2nd VFL game of the season on Sunday. DT scores of 106 and 114 for the year.

Lachie Hunter is less likely to receive senior selection than Hrovat but has still been in good form since moving up to the VFL from the Vic Development league. His three games have produced scores of 45, 111 and 108.

Joe Daniher kicked 4 goals for the third time this year. His scores for the season have been 94, 61, 85, 76 and 88.

With Dale Thomas out for an extended period it gives Collingwood an opportunity to elevate Kyle Martin who is averaging 26.4 disposals, 2.8 goals, 5.8 marks and 5 tackles a game. DT scores have been 139, 83, 95, 159 and 145 (Ave: 124.2)

It would probably take some injuries to allow Mason Wood to break into the Kangaroos side. He is yet to be named in the best in the VFL but has had some decent games, on the weekend he put together a 19 disposals, 8 mark performance for 106 DT.

Nick Graham is still several weeks away from playing due to injury and he'll need to put in some solid VFL performances before being considered. He may be a chance to play senior footy sometime between Rounds 16-20.

Matt McDonough has kicked 5 goals in his last three games for Coburg and could potentially debut for the Tigers at some point. His scores have been 61, 63, 64, 83 and 85.

Glenelg had a bye last weekend but Tom Clurey has been in good form at SANFL level. He had 21 possessions and 10 marks (95 DT) in his last game.

Will Hams, Tim Membrey and Andrew Boston are longer shots at making debuts in 2013 and aside from that I can't see many other players who are ready to step up.

Mr.Craig

Crouch was hardly a standout on the weekend. Wasn't named in the best for West Adelaide and had 16 touches for 55 DT.

Unfortunately Sandringham had a bye last weekend but prior to that he had 28 touches and was named in the best.

Mr.Craig

Was trying to copy and paste this article about Kyle Martin but it's not working. ::)

Anyway here it is...
