Malthouse doesn't do tagging :) as a pure mid could be worth it but that's a risk questions as to who Mick throws into the middle, Gibbs Robinson Carrots all could spend more or less time on the ball....

Definately won't start. If he keeps his DPP will be an upgrade target.

He didn't the year before tho either. Personally I think he's kept his DEF status over the last couple of years because he has been a tagger. So i think he will keep it again next year

yep good point shiels picken and crowley, raines and both selwoods WCE should all be defenders for the "defensive roles" they play... S Selwood got more freedom this season but still got the job every time they needs to stop an opposition midfielder...

think again the points averaged should and does come into it. no use having midfielders averaging 80-90 worthless no one will ever pick them.

Yeah but if you give all these players DPP who don't actually play defence it will be too easy, everyone will have very similar teams. I'd love him to be dpp in which case I'd start him but it won't (and shouldn't) be happening,
