Andrew Carrazzo - Carlton

Position: DEF/MID

Price: $428,300 (Fanplanner)

2011 Games: 16

2012 Games: 14

2011 Average: 91.9

2012 Average: 90.4

2012 Tons: 6

Summary: Carrazzo is an extremely consistent and reliable player. Carrazzo plays nearly everywhere for the Blues, whether it is in the Backline, Midfield or Tagging, however his roles could change under a new coach. Carrazzo is still quite young and is in his prime and managed to score over 115 5 times in just 14 games.

Verdict: Under a new coach I think he could spend a lot less time tagging, which is great news. Also at 428k I believe he is extremely underpriced, and will fit the D3,4,5 etc spot very nicely. His DPP is also very nice which makes him a really handy player.

Jukes

Two reasons I don't think I'll get him;
1) Durability obviously, played 14 and 16 in last two season.
2) Can't see him improving his average that much compared to guys such as Heppell, Hanley, Grimes, Gibbs, Bock etc.

Fair call. I'd take Carrots over Hanley, Grimes and Bock though.

will Carrots still be a DEF/MID though?

edit: a possible for a DEF/MID, will avoid if MID only though

Noz

I reckon he will be a pure Mid in 2013 hard to pick him without DPP.

Jukes

a) Bock is 200k less then Carrots, see why I'm getting him.
b) Grimes will average way more then Carrots.
c) Hanley is like 40k cheaper yet will gain more on his average, both will average about the same.

Lock if a backmen but not if a mid only :)

Agree, in which case I'll steer clear of him. If he retains DPP he is locked.

+1, i will be getting him over Goddard at this stage

He is listed as pure mid on the Fanplanner which is not a good sign :-\

Colliwobblers

getting old and injury concerns me but if he was named def/mid again he would be a lock for me.

Malthouse doesn't do tagging :) as a pure mid could be worth it but that's a risk questions as to who Mick throws into the middle, Gibbs Robinson Carrots all could spend more or less time on the ball....
