Played for the first time this year and loved it and got a LOT of quality information from some of the more helpful people on this site.

For what I can see though, IF you are playing for league final glory, supercoach is flawed (the experts probably already know this)

Resting and/or General soreness takes all the research on statistics and performance and throws it out the window when clubs rest their stars prior to the actual AFL finals.

I propose this and welcome any opinions.

During the supercoach and dreamteam finals any AFL player that is listed on teamsheets as "RESTED" or "SORENESS" becomes a;

FREE TRADE player

Basically this means anyone with this player in their team has the option to sideways trade for free.

I think this is logical.

Every year, everyone has a stack of suggestions on the game each year, nothing much will change from VS so you might just need to organise this rule with your mates in your leagues and add the scores manually.

No - I disagree.

If you don't have enough trades to cover sore players come finals time and your mate does.

Your mate wins for finding a better balance...

Half the fun of it is dealing with the uncertain, if you hold everyones hand though every uncertain situation it makes it more boring and more predictable...

Bad call Hutchy.

Not logical at all, takes away from strategy and trade conservation.

terrible idea - gives one team an unfair advantage over the other - ie. the team with the rested player gets an advantage to trade to whoever he can afford, whereas the other team who doesn't have said player loses out

the logical thing to do it this - you should factor in resting/general soreness into your player research

How can you possibly research who will be rested during the Supercoach finals?

Whilst the idea appears sound it penalises the coach who has planned his trades so that he has 2 available for the finals to cover Restings.

Each year we get a number of suggestions brought and the one I like most is to start Leagues after Round 2 and Finish Leagues in Round 23 we see very little resting in Round 23.
