Thoughts

The emergence of Walker as one of the premier forwards in the competition in 2012 was rather spectacular. He lifted every facet of his game to a level where not only is he a quality key forward, but a fantasy relevant one. Tall players that perform on the fantasy field are a rare breed, but it looks like we've unearthed another this year. He's only 22 and really the only thing that could possibly disrupt his continuing growth would be Tippett leaving.
Even if he does, I think Tex will continue to rip things up in 2013, joining Buddy and Jroo as a legitimate KP fantasy star.

Verdict

Will certainly be keeping a very close eye on Tex this summer. If Tiprat does end up leaving I'll be eager to see how it impacts him. If he stays - look out.

Prediction

105 for him in 2013. I think his continued improvement will outweigh losing Tippett.  Keep your eyes peeled on this one though.

roo boys!

Yeah like you said if Tippet stays I'll be all over Tex! Just have to watch out for the suspensions. Touch expensive also...not sure if I'll be able to fit him into my starting team, more an upgrade later on I reckon.

not for me, might have 2 premiums in my forwards with the rest as mid pricers no room really for Walker

Lock for me ;D for those who have seen his work up the field and his kicking, he is just so sweet. Part of the reason he scores so well is his kicking, so beautiful to watch, he's a true CHF and his 16 marks against Melbourne (2 games ago) most of them contested proves how good he is, his contested marking is improving all the time and in 2013 will go to new hights again,

previously he has actually played better without Tippo so him leaving should not effect any scoring

I predict a Coleman around his neck in 2013 but also continue to work up the ground, and as he grows in confidence (still ducks his head in a marking contest) he will become the most dominant forward in the game

I compare him to  Steve J, all the skills but sometimes inconsistant

could ave well over 105 in 2013

Not convinced yet and won't pay the $ to get him initially. Maybe an upgrade target.

Yup! Would like to see how he goes for at least half the season next year. Sometimes players can struggle a bit after a breakout year. There's that as well as anything the MRP look at will most likely end up a suspension due to his record.

His a likely type for myteam atm. Gotta make sure he stays on the park though.

Suspension is a worry...pass at this stage.
He has a PreSeason of disipline ahead of him. If Adelaide lose to Hawthorn or make GF and lose it'll set him straight. He scores really well.

I think the problem was then Neil Craig questioned his chasing and tackling and pressure without the ball, so he kept him in the SANFL the previous two years, this year he has tried to assert himself physically and got it wrong a few times, poor guy can't win :-[ the last month or so he has looked better on that side, have seen him "not carry through with the aggressive tackle" he is learning ;)

remember he only had 13 disposals last night, kick 5 yeah, but still scored 118, when he does get more ball, and he will, he will go over 120 regularly  8)

leave him out of your team I dare you, make it easier for me to climb the rankings ;D

Considering he only scored 100+ against 3 top 8 teams I'll look to him as a possible upgrade
