Thoughts

Mitch is a really interesting fantasy player. He began the season as one of the most valuable forwards, averaging 90 at just 22 and having MPP to boot. But he really took a slide, he was extremely inconsistent and no doubt burnt a lot of coaches with some of his lower scores. Nonetheless he is a tackling machine and one of the few genuinely hard players at Carlton, so is it worth punting on him to take the next step in 2013?

Verdict

That standard dev is just too high for a guy that averages 90 in my books. I won't be touching him unless he sets the world alight in the first couple of months.

Prediction

I think he'll get hover around 90 again in 2013, it's possible he could improve but I'm just not sure where that improvement is coming from.

kilbluff1985

yeah not for me his tough style of play to risky he will get injured or suspended

Heppell21

Risky pick as Malthouse is likely to play him as a tagger, and then he has the getting suspended risk.

Scares the shower outta me watching him dive in head first, but hes in atm.

He acts stupid on the field and always likely to be suspended. He can also go missing often. Sadly that cancels out his big scores at times for me.

Shihan7

He's in my side atm. Underpriced, and looks like he'll be a unique.

elephants

Locked for now.

Mick doesnt tend to tag too much so hopefully Robbo can be released of that silly role Ratten was trying to force into him :)

Ricochet

Will be staying away to start with but may be an upgrade target

Colliwobblers

Agree - upgrade target for me depending how his body and head holds up. Also going to need to see how Mick uses him next season. Mid / Fwd time will be key to his output in 2013...

Blues will be awesome under Malthouse however it may be wise to grow a pair and get on a few of the Blues from the start, just not sure if I will....

Jroo

Will definitely consider him. I like the way he plays his footy!

Yer will still pick Murphy, but might make think twice before I pick Yarran

aces-high

Mitch is more of a dt'er! Will steer clear until he proves a bit of consistency as a sc'er. Might be a good upgrade target for one of le cras, knights, krak, kennedy, nicoski, gray or any of the other abundances of midpricers on offer    ;)
