jonothan brown umbrella incident

Don't know if I'm being too sensitive, but watching the Footy Show at the moment, and not too happy with JBrown.

Sammy was making a joke about JBrowns "tectonic' plate slipping in the heat, and stood over him with an umbrella, sheltering him from the studio lights. It was a fairly innocuous joke, with no malice meant by Sammy. JBrown stood up and grabbed the umbrella off him. Fair enough, that should have ended the joke, with Sammy already walking back to his chair. JBrown then closed the umbrella, and whacked Sam over the head with it, not with a huge amount of force, but definitely an unnecessary amount, that drew blood. He then threw the umbrella at Sam, nearly hitting him in the eye with the point.

Sam was obviously injured, and it was clear he was not too happy about it.

I felt that Brown, being the big, brollic, behemoth that he is, would be aware of his own strength, and not have used it to intimidate a frail 70 year old. Sam is always joking around with the players, but in a jovial way. I reckon JBrown showed his thuggish colours tonight.

Poor form from the Big Beefy Beastly Bruising Brain-dead Brutish Bully Brown.

to be fair, it's a joke in really bad taste. Like, those plates he has are from some horrific facial injuries that could have ended his career, and he'll have them in him for the rest of his life, to someone who has to live with something like that, it's the equivalent of telling a paraplegic to 'stand and take a bow', and comes pretty close to 'Mccarthy took the fall for ports terrible season'.

i think it was scripted Sam took it to lightly if it was not and i reckon the blood was fake they showed it after an ad break and i think Brownie actually touched it doubt he would touch his real blood and if it was bleeding during the ad break i don't think he would have finished the show to me it all ads up to being scripted Sam and Brown have a funny past on the show and are good mates

Maybe we wait and see if Brisbane take any action? You would imagine he would be facing some disciplinary action if it was for real...
