Did ANYONE pick either of Macallister or Williams from Heart? I dare say not because of all of the striker firepower available.

This is the current 'Team of the Round' which shows the best scores from each position to now. Del Piero not sighted....

I didn't do fantasy A League simply because I don't know enough because I cannot watch any matches  ::) Thanks again to the Nazi's at foxtel!

colmullet

ehhhh Antonis subbed off after 59mins and with a yellow card....what a waste

Sorry guys, dumb question here, but what is classified as a 'good' score in fantasy a-league? I realise that anything under 3 is pretty poor, but what is good, ok and bad?

Ideally you want your keepers and defenders to keep a cleansheet, your midfielders to either score and assist and also get a cleansheet, and then you want your forwards to get an assist or score too.
Now you hardly ever you are going to get all of that to perfection, so having 11 players play at least 60 minutes, while choosing the right captain are all important. then no matter how you get it, 40 is a good aiming point for your overall points for the round.

Thanks mate. If 40 is a good aiming point I am well and truly going OK!! I am on 32 with Broich (C), Smeltz, Franjic and Thwaite to come. Only problem is, that if Smeltz or Broich score/assist that mans that Franjic/Thwaite don't keep a clean sheet! I have a feeling I'll have one 6+ score from one of them, and 3-4's from the rest. So if I were to score around 45 would that put me in a good spot? What was your average last year?

Popey99

Franjic hasn't played the whole first half!! If a player only plays a minimal amount if time but the team still records a clean sheet, does the player still get 4 points as a defender?

you need 60+ minutes to get the 4 points. Franjic is injured anway he isnt even a sub.

Popey99

Oh really!! Will he need to be traded?

I will monitor i think its just a one week thing. Im looking at possibly going down to cassio with adeliade looking good or over to rose. Just because i think i want to get berish in the squad nad i have 3 roar guys already.

Heskey was very average from what i have been told.

i don't remember what i averaged last year: around 55 or so; maybe even 45. as i said 40 is a good score, but you will always have bad weeks especially with only 10 teams in the a-league.
I finished 21st overall in the whole comp btw last year. i was at 13 at one stage! :) :)

45 would be excellent first up; especially with as it seems a low scoring week.

^could you say Del Piero was too?

Holz

Del Piero from my reports was good and the best player for Sydney, just didnt score.

If Berish scores today i might double trade franjic to rose and heskey to berisha

Ended with 51. Not overly terrible, but Franjic cost me. If he doesn't come up he will go to Cassio, and then wait a week and upgrade someone else. Have to figure out in a few weeks if Huysegems is worth keeping.

Just a quick one, do prices change after this round or not?

Prices haven't changed at all in fox sports EPL fantasy after 7 rounds and i thought it runs on the same format?

I contacted them with no reply. Does anyone know this?

P.S Congratulations to Sticky Toffees with a 57 this week
Sincerely. Dribblers FC Coach

Ended on 42, pretty disappointed with that but i won my league game so i guess its alright. Will be monitoring Franjic and heskey gets one more week to perform and than he is out.

Adelaide Heart and WSW did better than i expected. Newcastle was a little disappointing.
