I notice it looks like everyone is going smeltz over berisha, any reason for this I notice berisha scored 30 more than smetlz last year.

BlueStorm

Short answer - Berisha had a massive season last year, going to be very hard to back that up. Roar have lost players and coach, think they will slip, but believe Perth has stronger squad this year, and Smeltz due to cash in again. Really not much between them though...

I have both right now, but I think it may be just because people are unsure if Brisbane can do as well without Ange as coach and Perth look like an even stronger side this season.

Thanks guys had a little bit of a think about it and moved my team around a little. Not sure if Florres is worth the 280k but victory look like they could be top 4. I prefer getting as many guys from the top clubs as possible. Assuming Victory, CCM, Roar and Glory are top 4, all of my starters bar 1 from those teams.

I got all the good bench options i think, Markelis v Kresinger is the hard one but already have 2 victory starters.

I like the overall look of the team, Holz. Quite different to my strategy of "Let's go Heskey!". CCM should do well again this season, but for both of our sake, I hope Flores plays like he did when he was at Adelaide.

Here's my team:

looked at your team it loaded slowly, I was wow pretty weak goalkeeper, weak defence, decent mid than

Wow thats good.

Interesting strategy. Your going to have to hope heskey can produce because your going to be losing points in defence and keeper to most people. Very solid mid though.

Yer, I am just going, stuff it I like Heskey. Always make my fantasy teams slightly different to the norm. It's how I roll. 8)

I've spent it all, if I over cook it, then flower it - there's always the wild card.

Ryan
Zwaanswijk, Thwaite, I Franjic, Cassio
Vidosic, McGlinchey, Dugandzic, Jeggo
Berisha (C), Smeltz (vc)

Basalaj, Markelis, Caira, Melling

Anyone know if Basalaj is the 1st GK option?

I haven't been following Wellington in pre-season, but I would say Moss and Paston are both well above him in the pecking order.

BlueStorm

Completely concur Chelski, can't see Basalaj getting any game time.

Guys, not sure if I've seen it mentioned here yet, but did we know they are applying bonus points this season!  ;D
For those familiar with EPL fantasy, same idea. 3,2,1 to 'best' 3 players - as determined by the promoters. Not sure if that means the same as the FoxSports votes, guess we will find out soon enough, but provides a new opportunity to create a difference when so money teams end up similiar in the shallow talent pool. Good times...

PS. Doing my homework now, will post team and reviews this evening

OK, hope this works, this ain't my strong suit. Team should post below, if not, will go back to old skool and just type the effing thing!  ;) Here is the team 48 hours before we start trading blows. Happy to take criticism both positive and negative.
I can't see it. All you have to do to post it is upload it onto an image hosting site and then get the link and put it in the insert image brackets.

Sorry if that isn't clear.

Hoorah, nearly perfect success! Despite my nunceness, Chelski and Major got me over the line  ::)

Holz

BlueStorm, thomas at 1 is ahuge risk but it could pay off big. Victory should be pretty reasonable for clean sheets. Better picks but not at 95k

the back line I have issues with i think you want starting CCM PG and BR players down there. Interesting strat, you could come out big you wil need your mids and forwards to get lots of assists and goals.

Holzman - I figure it's not that bad. Should start at least the 1st few games, and can always switch around after that.
Looked over your squad, and only one word - solid! Can't see any weak links, looks an ideal line-up to take into the season.

Chelski
- looking at your two squads, I have presumed your are happy with the bulk of the line-up, so only looking at the changes. My thoughts on the changes; you have gone Miller (190) & Bozanic (170). Reckon Miller is a bit hit and miss, and Bozanic struggled for a regular 60min last season, not sure that will change. I'd suggest Rogic (175) who was in smashing form late last season, and Kantorovski (130). Bit of a risk, but was a star 2 and 3 seasons ago before injury.

I believe he has had a good pre-season, and will assume the playmaking duties coming from the backline. That saves you about $55k, which I'd put towards upgrading Markelis. Experience say forwards score points, and 3 playing strikers is always a good move.

NorthernStar - At the risk of sounding racist, ditch Necevski and Diljevski.  ;D  Both face a hard battle for a regular start, and particularly in the case of Diljevski, seems a waste to use of of the 3 allowable Victory spots on him when there i s plenty of talent on the list Finkler (100k Mid), Rojas (140k Mid). If you need a cheap defender to make it all happen, try Vrankovic from Heart who looks likely to get a start on Friday.

My predicted ladder, and tipping I will cop some heat for this:  ;)

Victory
Roar
CCM
Perth
Sydney
Adelaide
Wellington
Heart
Newcastle
West Sydney

Bring it On!
