what do you think of huysegems?

Ah yes, the new striker recently signed by Wellington correct?
Belgian, 30 years old, 1.86m tall forward.
Has represented Belgium both in youth and senior on countless occassions. an experienced man.
Has played for Feyenoor and FC Twente as well as with Lierse along side Archie Thompson.
has played in the UEFA champions league.

Priced at 150k could be a steal! Has to compete with Brockie and Ifill as well as Sanchez and Bertos; but if the coach Herbert decides to play this guy, he may have the potential to be their star frontman, especially if Ifill stays injured.
i like this goal too http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8F9W9InaIl4 ;D

Hahaha that is a good goal but its from over 6 years ago!

i made a random team to see if you could rearrange the formation and now i cant go back to the selecting team part do i have to go to transfers and do it that way?

On the Rules i think somewhere it says the possible formations. They want to keep it normal i guess, so a minimum of 3 defenders and i think a minimum of 2 strikers are required i think.

And yeah i did an auto-filled team first up so i could advance to joining in the leagues. Just go to transfers and transfer out every player and start afresh if you want like that.

a lot of people seem to have Markelis, the defender from Melbourne Victory, I haven't heard of him apart from seeing him on people's screenshotted teams - can anybody please give me some background info on him? Thanks   :)

Firstly, he's a striker. came from Italian team Vicenze and was scoring frequently i think.
On the A-League site is one of 3 listed Victory strikers, so that's already a kind of good sign although mostly insignificant compared to the 10 midfielders, at least half of which can play fwd.
and he's only 20y.o

Chelskiman

He's been playing a lot in pre-season.  I saw him live twice in the two games that Victory played down here and he looked impressive.  Victory have a host of options in midfield this year though, and Theo will be up against the likes of Rojas and Davies.  He's probably not certain to start, but when he does play he will be involved in a lot of attacking play.  Could be a massive bargain if he cements himself in the side though.  I have him, but only as back up in my 3-5-2 formation.

Chelskiman

Had another play around with my team today.  Not sure if my team is stronger or not.  All opinions are welcome.

they're almost the same team Chelski.
I'd recommend lightening up on the defense, probably downgrade Rose because you've already got Ryan.
Necevski is kinda expensive too; so he could be easily downgraded and its not often the Ryan won't play.
I then would'nt be so sure about having both Broich and Partalu; but im more concerned in having both Finkler and Jeggo; i'd say replace one of them with Rojas; and change the other all togethor.

^ a veryy good read fellas.

And yes it seems that Heskey is in the A-League! :D
i'm not picking him yet due to the lack of depth in Newcastle; but i won't have time to asses annyway. this is my last day with internet until the season starts!  :'(  :'(

Yeah, they are similar, I just made a few subtle changes.

CCM always have a solid defence, so I don't mind having Rose and Ryan there.  It's no different to having Ryan and Zwaansswijk, which I think a lot of people will go with.  Rose is decent going forward, and is handy for a few assists.  Franjic is a gun.  I had him from the start last year and he served me well.  Thwaite will add to Perth's already good defence, and at 175k he could be considered a bargain as he will play almost every game.  I got caught out a lot last year by not having a solid second keeper, and you would think Necevski will be the number one at Sydney, so I'm happy with him sitting on bench and providing good cover when/if needed.

Broich had a poor season by his standards last year, and he could be considered overpriced, but when he's on fire there's none better than him in the A-League.  Paartalu is personal favourite of mine, and he is also a very good fantasy scorer.  My other options for "premium" midfielders were Nichols or Emerton.  Jeggo has been an absolute star in pre-season and he should start the season in midfield next to Bru.  Finkler too has impressed, and at $100k he's a steal as he too should be in the starting line-up for the Victory.  I've taken a bit of a risk with Poljak, but he is an attacking mid, so if he plays he could chip in with the odd goal/assist.

Tominator

Heskey and Del Piero already in the A-League, and Ballack on his way potentially

Anybody gonna get all three ?

Chelskiman

I won't be.  Del Piero is already pricey enough, so based on that he's a bit of a risk.  I'd rather get someone like Berisha or Smeltz or Archie who are already proven in the league.

McRooster

I've spent it all, if I over cook it, then flower it - there's always the wild card.

Ryan
Zwaanswijk, Thwaite, I Franjic, Cassio
Vidosic, McGlinchey, Dugandzic, Jeggo
Berisha (C), Smeltz (vc)

Basalaj, Markelis, Caira, Melling

MajorLazer

My strategy is flower it, I want Heskey. :P

Necevski
Risdon, Rose, Traore
Dugandzic, Rojas, Broich, Vidosic
Heskey, Berisha, Markelis

Redmayne, Pellegrino, Bowles, Hingert

Have 20k left over. :)
