Possible new logo?

Whilst doing some graphic design work today, I was trawling on a forum for new ideas for logos and guernsey designs for the World 15s and I came across a very interesting article.

Seems like the AFL has registered a trademark with IP Australia on behalf of the Western Bulldogs.
