Sam Jacobs - Adelaide

Price - $412,200

Games 2011 - 19

Games 2012 - 21

2011 Average - 87

2012 Average - 87

2012 big scores - 122, 122

2012 tons - 4 (plus a 98, 93, 91, 99, 93)

Summary - His game has really stepped up in the last year, but unfortunately, his dream team hasn't quite gone up like we were all hoping. Some people (Like me) will have him as a premium ruck.

Verdict - His average will probably go up a slight bit.

Predicted average - 88

The main reason people pick him is his consistency.

not for me. his lack of impact around the ground (apart from his tap work) doesn't do his DT scores any favour-if he starts becoming more involved with the game (gathering more possessions) then i'll look at him.

pass for next year for me though.

Same, but i think i will go McEvoy.........

Windigo

I don't think he will ever be a top DT ruckman.

A good ruck option, but I don't see him ripping game to shreds just yet.  :-\

He is a No.1 ruck at a top club, I don't see why he can't be.

I agree with Windy simply because he is just not involved around the ground apart from at stoppages! Not enough possies compared to other premo rucks to be a worthy pickup imo

+1. Will come down to whether the Saints chase an experienced 2nd ruckman. McEvoy has great output, but mainly because he pretty much rucks alone. Jacobs probably also slightly more consistent.

Yeah, do you reckon the possible arrival of Robbie Warnock will affect McEvoy's scores?

Yeah I'd think so. I'm not sure how they'd play them both together, but I'd think it would mean a lot more time away from the middle for Big Boy.

Yeah, I'll probably go with Jacobs depending on if they go after Warnock.
