LOL classic.

What about dal Santo then, with the same strategy..? He could go BANG in round 1 without Montagna there :P Just under $480k seems real cheap, but can he be trusted? I was close but currently am preferring an early season punt on Ebert and Jack for cheapie premium picks, sizzling NAB Cup form from the Dal could change all that though.

LOCKED in, as I've stated in the Marc Murphy thread,

Anybody worried about his early fixtures? After Richmond, an up and coming side with a very strong midfield (Cotchin, Deledio, Tuck plus other lads like Jackson and Conca who might constrict Carlton), he faces Collingwood (Swan, Pendles, Beams, Sidebottom, Ball...), Geelong (Selwood, Bartel, Corey, Kelly, Caddy), West Coast away (Selwood x2, Kerr, Priddis), and Adelaide (Thompson, Dangerfield, van Berlo, Sloane, Wright, Reilly). 2 teams with good midfields and 3 teams with great midfields.

Murphy could come out of those first 5 games with an average below 100...

So what I'm thinking is to start with Montagna, see him smash those first three weeks, hold him in the side another couple weeks, then trade him to Murphy, who has hopefully dropped a bit of cash and Monty has gained a bit so they're about the same prices, then trade Monty to Murphy when the fixturing evens out and reap the benefits.
I think he misses Round 1 through suspension? could be wrong

As I've said in other threads previously Clinton Jones is on the outer at the saints and during the end of last season Montagna was being used as a run with player in Jone's absence. Wouldn't be surprised if this continues next year as it also seems to help ease in some of the younger mids

Nails

Shame he's missing round 1, looks to be returning to his DT slut form of the past.

Toga

Yeah he's been killing it in NAB and his first three rounds makes him very enticing: Gold Coast, Richmond, GWS...

Won't be able to find room for him though unfortunately :-\

Jukes

I may start with another early bolter like ROK or JPK, trade him to Monty after R1, then trade him to the best performing from Swallow, Dangerfield, Murphy and Redden after r3.
