There's so many good rookie midfielders to put in this season that will surely rise in price, i know there isn't any new team in the AFL like the last two years but Whitfield, O'Meara, Crouch, T. Mitchell, Viney, Docherty, Varcoe, Morabito, Garlett, Wines, Toumpas and Ben Kennedy are all good chances to start in round 1 and we know that they can all score extremely well, especially guys like Varcoe and Morabito who have played before. O'Meara will start and should score well, Mitchell is a machine, Docherty will surely play being a No.12 draft pick in his second year and Crouch should also play first up and make cash. All the others are popular rookies that are capable of scoring very well. Then you've got guys like Kurt Aylett and Sam Kerridge who should play lots in their second year when they didn't get a run in their first. THERE ARE SO MANY GOOD OPTIONS!!! If you do this in Supercoach lock in Ablett or Pendlebury as your first midfielder and choose out of these many great options for your 7 rookies, and in DT lock in Swanny, and upgrade to others later.

THOUGHTS??

colmullet

maybe 6 and 2 but that would be as rookie sided i would go in the middle, hopefully a few of those u mentioned are DPP so u can still pick them all up across your team

I voted no as Iam not going to go this way.

I think depending at what outcome you desire over the whole season ie. if you think you could challenge for an overall win - then I believe you would lose way too many points early on not having 3 or 4 super premo mids.
If your only thinking of good results in a league and not overly concerned about overall then you can try this and you could benefit greatly from this strategy.

I'd be concerned about JS after round 1 we all know that rookies can fall off the radar pretty quick if they have'nt impressed the coach enough.

Kennedy a certainty on dpp and Toumpas +lock anywhere but, should get dpp to

Great value in the forward line next season that is the area I'll be looking at to save cash.

That's a good point. Buddy, Roughy, and Zaha, LeCras are my locks, maybe Nicoski and Menzel and perhaps 1 more premo.

Same with me, and in the rucks also with vardy/burger. This allows you to get super prems in the midfield, I'm currently looking at starting Swan, GAJ, Cotchin and Murphy.

won't work.Might have worked this year or last year if you nailed the rooks, but without expansion clubs JS will be low, and rookies will be subjected to vesting.

nope.

kilbluff1985

i think you can start with 3 super prem mids

mids most consistent players in your team if you have none your team will be very up and down in 2012 i went 5 prem mids Watson, Pendles, GAJ, Thommo, Murphy this started me off very well was winning all my league games early on easily

with so may mid price fwds you will most likely spend the saved cash in defense

I hope it does- will separate the men from the boys. Mid priced madness.

True, but that would discourage new players and make quite a few rage-quit

I am sooo tempted to take the risk next year, it can really pull off. The 2011 SC winner Impromptu did this in 2010 and finished 1000ish and he said he thought he did better in 2010 than 2011.

Yes, I do think it is a good idea
