I have been lead to believe it was John McCarthy and he fell off his balcony, don't think it was suicide just an accident.

That's what I had heard but the difference between falling and jumping are small but big at the same time. Horrible accident nonetheless :(

Not yet, the player's family needs to be informed first before the person is confirmed. I also heard that he fell off a balcony rather than jumping, its a tragedy either way :'(.  I was shocked when I heard it, it really puts things like footy in perspective. My best wishes are with Port Adelaide and McCarthy's friends and family.
