Yes but on the flip side underpriced for what he could do  :o

Yeah, definitely...could be worth a punt.

All pretty dependent on what happens up until the nab, check his role out and the development of the other defenders

Could be worth the punt, but I was honestly surprised he averaged so highly in the past. Normally have no interest in key defenders but will consider as a quick cash grab at that price.

He played a lot up fwd in the second half of 2011 which lifted his scores and gave him his DEF/FWD DPP. I was surprised to see he averaged 88 in 2009 though.

At Adelaide Bocky would regularly run the ball through the middle and hit up forwards, got 25 disposals regularly! thats how he got that average

Bock's still a key player at the Gold Coast (assuming he's healthy) so he'll likely do well next season (and definitely a whole lot better than most at that price). Gotta be a lock.

Actually, side note, what's the point in DPPing him with someone else? If he's in our top 7 defenders and you have a DPP in your top 7 forwards, how does that help you with injuries? Unless it's one of those two players getting injured, switching them around does absolutely nothing! Surely it'd be much more beneficial to DPP him with a rookie that'll be on your bench?!

Towards the end of this year we saw half decent players sitting on people's benches, like Martin.
I think only then will it be beneficial.
eg. say Michael Johnson is in your fwd line. Bock is in your backline. Bock gets injured/poor form/dropped. Instead of having a rookie cover Bock, you swap Johnson into your backline and play Martin in your fwd line

Yeah, I guess so, if you have a better player on your bench than one of the two DPPs it's worthwhile. However, you really don't want that to be the case...

yeh why would you pick them in the first place otherwise.
unless a rookie like Zorko comes along halfway through the year

Capper

Very keen but if he plays up front i dont see him scoring as well. So maybe early as a cash cow

i see gold coast taking a leap next year and think they have the potential to push higher up the ladder and becoming a lot more challenging - therefore, I reckon Bocky, playing either forward or back, will be a value pick!

Football Factory

From memory Barlow and Ziebell took a year or two to get over their broken legs missing a few games with soreness. Tempting at his price . Will watch Nab closely

Yeah this is worrying. Gray and Bock will be fighting it out for the last mid-price spot in my team. Both coming off horrible injuries so will be interesting to see who comes back better

Broken legs are harder to come back from, so I would go Gray.
