We are now officially in a re-building phase. It's been a great ride. The last 5 or 6 years have been fantastic. We will never have a team like this again.  Thankyou cats for making us proud.

Poor starts were a problem that bugged Geelong throughout its 2012 campaign. As for why, Scott said: "I'll take my time to analyse that. I'm certainly not going to jump to any conclusions.

"We'll do a really thorough review, not only of this game but of our whole season ... and try to get to the bottom of what is a very complex question.

"If I knew, I'd be prepared to elaborate a little bit more, it's fair to say. We've got a few ideas, but I'm not prepared to give you anything concrete."

It's not that complex.They fixed up the slow starts (ask Essendon and Hawthorn). In the heat of the finals our younger players were found out. They will learn from this. I think we'll be a much better team next season.

Now that the cats are out, the Hawks are in the GF as the Crows or Freo wont trouble the Hawks like the cats would have

Sandilands is looking an absolute monster.... But if Freo get past the Crows, that will be 3 weeks travelling, with a 6 day break, to play a well rested Hawthorn.

I don't think the Swans or Eagles can match it with the Hawks at the MCG, and for the Pies to beat Hawthorn they would need everything to go right....

The cats were the only team to take it to the Hawks for a full game.

The Swans did it for 3/4s in the first outing and only a half in the second outing.

IMO geelong are not finished yet far from it they have an very talented young list ready to go for when players retire for example christiensen ,Menzel Motlop, smedts, vardy and god so much more :)

I think it will still take a season or 2 before we are ready for another tilt at a premiership. The good part is every season our list gets younger. It's kind of exciting to watch all these young players try out. Our reserves are in the Gf this weekend, so thats good.
