Verdict: 50/50 chance of making my team. Duffman will be underpriced for what he is capable of, but im not sure I can fit him in with Goddard, Gibbs, Birch, Grimes & Heppell all putting their hand up for selection.
I take this back, Duffield is locked in as D5 atm.

will be on my radar, my long distance radar, so many mid priced options in defence this season coming so many break out candidates, and if Gibbs goes back and goddard keeps DPP in a midfield role at the bomebers there is D1 and D2 locked.

probably only start 3 premium defenders, 2 - 3 midpriced defenders and rooks. I'll be pouring my cash into the midfield this season, then ruck then FWD then DEF last.. 4 or 5 elite starters in the mid so....

Duff may make one of those mid priced defender spots of mine but there are some other very cheap potential breakouts pushing him out at present.

and he doesn't make the cut for one of my 3 elite spots, not sure on D3 yet.... Carrots if not mid only but he probably will be....

or heppell or scotland or ..  ::)

Birchall is a risk with Lake in and Suckling getting better and better, think they like suckling going up onto the wing and feeding the fwd line and birchall setting up but if lake and an improved suckling even eat into birchalls scoring a little he will be a fair bit below the top bunch...

Grimes I pretty much pencil in for MID only? if not I'll seriously consider him, body held up well this season.

"Averages 75 when Broughton's lined up with him, but averages 96 when he doesn't. Averaged 102 in his last 5 games, all of which were without Broughton."

Obviously Gibbo and Goddo are no brainers, then I'm thinking of one more and a cheapy, trouble is their's not much floating my boat! Maybe if they get a game Russell or Otten, either way Duffman might slot in at D3

Definatelly a cheaper keaper Duffman or Heppell or both at this stage, more likely to be Duffman at D3 for me

I wanted him to be more unique but now everyone will be up the Duff.
Yeah thought the same :-\ that's the problem with the fantasy web sites, dam that fanfooty :P

The trick will be getting our structures right, along with the rookies, guys like Duffield will be on everyone's lips, I might try and risk on some due breakout candidates, with 30 trades and the big boys on huge averages, hopefully my uniques at least make cash to upgrade easily if the don't become keepers, just my own thoughts!

I probably shouldn't have talked him up so much haha :(

The DODT article has just confirmed him as a lock in my side.

Yeah, but Broughton's backline spot will be filled by Pearce... Not sure if Duffield can be trusted at his starting price.
