WEST Coast ruckman Nic Naitanui will make a delayed start to pre-season training after booking in for groin surgery.

The 2012 All Australian was hampered in the latter stages of the season with the nagging injury.

It was hoped that Naitanui would be ready to train at full capacity upon resumption this week after the eight-week off-season break, but he was still in some discomfort and consulted a specialist on Wednesday.

As a result, he will be sent into surgery next week to appease the problem.

This is a bummer, i may be looking elsewhere now. Be watching for any news on how he's doing on the track later before i make a final decision but i do like my guys to have a full pre season so the surgery is a blow for me.

was still tossing up between Nat and Goldy, think this makes it certain I'll go Goldstein instead :-\

Will look to him as an upgrade target though should he perform well early.

lol changed my mind again. has to be considered with either Ryder or Cox now! 8)

Holz

he is now in my forward line, with a cheap F/R as my 4th ruck bench.
