I pick the most expensive rookie player so it means i fit under the cap and if a cheaper guy somes along who is better i just downgrade to him.

I do see toumpas being a top 3 scoring mid from this draft though, especially at a club that will play him like melbourne, so I value him at that.

Barlow is a 24yr old proven 110 player, and we got Fyfe who is a 21 yr old and yes has potential to be a gun but hasn't passed 100 yet.

as holz said, national picks rather than the players provide way more flexibility. As for barlow, he's firstly 26 years old, and secondly has averaged significantly lower since a hideous leg break.

exactly. plenty of other backs with decent JS- and he's an average DTer at best on top of that- therefore not worth that much.

I'm just going to ignore fark, he's just talking out of his ass.

oh sorry... his birthday is today.
and Fyfe has averaged significant lower since doing his shoulders ::) barlow still averaged close to 100 coming off a season still playing in pain. It was only towards the end of the season where he was playing pain free (he averaged like 105 from round 7)
we still paid showerloads more than Holz did
