at Port Adelaide and copping a lot of attention. Freo are a top 8 side, maybe even top 4, with guys like Fyfe and Hill who are likely to get tagged before Pearce.

Clearly Lez is trying to build a team for 3-4 years down the track.
He's offloaded a 80 defender who only has a couple of years left for a younger 80 defender
Selwood averaged 109 in a very strong Geelong midfield. He now cops the number 1 tag. But its probably still a 5 point loss to Grigg.
And he gains an young 80 fwd who will always be a fwd, cannot see him losing dpp.
Losing Jelwood as captain hurts him now but he has 3-4 years to trade/develop a replacement.
You can't attack  him for trying to look to the future and gaining an extra two starters

I may be wrong but, aint Grigg and Selwood same age?? Isnt Pearce only 2 yrs younger then Reilly?? Isnt Bird a few months older then Blair?? haha he went heaps younger :P

I never had a go at Lez until he brought my name up, he posts so much shower about pplz players and thoughts on who wins trades he needs to learn to handle a little back his own way imo, instead of crying fowl when one bad comment comes his way  ::)

Lez lost in that trade as you said, still fair but his team looks shower now. I thought he did a great job improving it until that trade, now its average as!!!

Pearce is 3 years younger so when Lez's windows open he will still have an 80 defender. Reilly would have retired
Bird and Blair are similar age (Blair is a year younger) but Blair is a 10 point better player

But if you think Lez is trying to build a team for 3-4 yrs down the track then Pearce would have retired too by then lol

Shuey and steven are good 90-100av mids but probably arent capable of pushing past 100

Hibberd has offfield issues and will ave 75-80 at best...but will he get there

He got jaensch who i rate higher than hibberd, griffen who is capable of 100+ and grigg who ave 98 and has high cieling

holzs midfield chews yours up and spits it out. His backline bends you over the fence and sodomises you. Even his rucks curb stomp yours. Your forwards are the only think you have going- that being said, thomas is in a moon boot, rioli pulls his hammy everytime he goes mid, robinson and pavlich both constantly suffer from injuries.

He crumbled under the tag, had the X Factor to do well for Port, so the hint of attention and he just couldn't handle it. So much talent, just needs to learn to handle the tag better as he was too easy for other teams to take out :-X.

The Selwood drama continues! Happy to have had and lost him, as helped my structure a hell of alot. My Captain choice is Scott Selwood now :P.

@whatlez: Everyone has a go at the Bashers, coz FARK is the most unrealistic person on this forum (maybe 2nd most, to tbag) And you're copping for a) agreeing with them/trading with them , b) trying to back yourself up too much, and c) saying that you have a plan and then trading that plan away. (Shuey, Hibberd, Steven)

And don't worry, i have a go at Spite and co. about what they do too, since it's the same as the 3rd point i've got for you. Say they're going youth, then trade away Fyfe. ;)
