Torp gives: David Swallow and his 2nd and 3rd round Pre-Season Draft Pick

Assessment - Passed

Nails

It says on main page passed, but void here??

Come on, I really want Swallow :'(

Nails

To be honest I don't really think draft picks should count as "list changes"

As they aren't really a part of your list, have never played for your team and are yet to be players...

Ringo

Still trying to work out list changes myself Nails.  I am now listed as 2 Thought it would have been 1 as I traded Motlop and 2 picks for Adams and Jenkins and 1 pick.  So I would say looks like draft picks if replaced by players are classified as list changes.  Bit uneven when you are giving up one of your national Draft picks to gain a player. Rationale someone can swap 5 players for 5 players on the list and still retain all draft picks.  Someone else swaps some players for draft picks counts as list changes and draft pick numbers are reduced.

Colliwobblers

i have decided NOT to count draft picks as list movements in Asians ( Where there is a list movement on each side of the trade).

Where it is a player for a draft pick - i count that as a list movement.

But MTTY runs things here and there is merit in both counting and not counting the draft picks as list movements, so I'll just agree with whatever the boss says.

Makes my trade 3 list movements instead of only 1, but no one else wants to trade with me anyway so no problem :)

Wouldn't both Adams and Jenkins leaving torps list equal 6 players leaving his team so 6 list movements

I have no list changes  :(

Yes well we tried but walked away from the table when we realized neither one of us was stupid enough to give the other one a ripping deal  ;D

we did try, a little :)

1. A list change will occur for both teams if this happens: Player x for Player y

2. A list change will occur for both teams if this happens: Player x for Draft pick

3. A list change will not count if: Draft pick x for Draft pick y

Note: I will put this in the OP.

Therefore (in my non-official opinion, and an opinion that respects your decision) I think that Ringo/Torp trade should be voided (sorry Ringo)

As that trade would take Torp to 6 list changes, and therefore because their trade does not pass, my trade with Torp should pass as it'll take him to 5 list changes as Ringo/Torp's trade should be voided under the rules.

You are correct Nails. Apologies as i had Torp down as Betts not counting as a list movement for him too. (After Betts was on traded but it should still count for Torp).

Colliwobblers

Should not Ringo be given the opportunity to make his trade work wih one less list movement for torps?

Their trade was negotiated first of course I guess it will be up to Torps in the end.

Just flying the flag for Ringo :)

Spinking

Can I get some clarification on why Tabs and my trade did not go through? I thought the rule is there to eliminate crazy trades. Tabs and I agreed more than 2 weeks ago on this, have been basing all future trades on this going through. I believe the rule should be in place to prevent Ablett for Relton Roberts type trades rather than slight inequalitys. This eliminates the opportunity for coaches to pull off clever trades or strong negotiations.
