As good as he has been to me this season I am not sure on picking him next season due to the fact that his price will be through the roof and I can't really see him making any improvement on his incredible average of 133.55. But I also fear that if I don't pick him and I'm playing against someone who has he will get 150+ points and cost me a game so what I am asking you is will he be worth his huge price tag?

LF

Yes he is worth the price tag.
But I never start the season with him I will usually upgrade someone to him simply because of his price.
You have to be lucky tho to get him in at a cheaper price.

That's what I did this year I started with Pendlebury instead.

For the last 3 years i've started with him and never looked back, but in 2013 im also considering not starting with him.
He is going to be priced around 650k to start and there definitely will be a time that he drops below 600k, which is when I plan to bring him in.
I'll likely start with Ablett, Cotchin, pendles/boyd/murphy.

I'll build the rest of my team and then see if I can fit him in. It's unlikely that I'll be able to afford him though.

I'm going VERY unique next year, and judging by the people above who have said they will not start with him, I'll find a way to fit him in. Why? He is very likely to be the highest scorer after the first few weeks, and I will gain points on those that do not have him. He is unparalleled in his ability to pick up cheap one-twos no matter who he's playing, and unlike the other premiums such as Cotchin, Watson, Pendles he does not get tagged. He also has a ridiculous ceiling.

Id rather play an extra rookie in the fwd or backs (to afford swan) and only get 60odd points than miss out on Swans 140-180 scores

Lock him in.
He's my first picked every season! I base my team around him!!

chaosAD

What will he be worth? 650k?

Start every year with Ablett and Swan. Cant see how you can afford not to tbh. With those two in the Mids im still able to build a decent side around them. May have to start with an extra rookie but they top up that score and the extra rookie is quickly upgraded. Helps with Rank having them early days. Lots of ways to skin a cat though but this works for me and the comfort have having your cpt/cpt's locked and loaded for the year is comforting haha so to speak. Locked and loaded 2013.

tbagrocks

same as I did this year, when he drops, pick him up

1st rule of fight club........ Pick Dane Swan!!! Will cost me all my Grand Finals not having him. Have to squeeze him in somewhere.
