Gents, I'm wondering about the impact of having a strong / weak academy on the speed of pops.

At the moment I've got a Satisfactory Snr Academy, but I've got the available coin to push it up pretty rapidly if tha is the best option.

Currently if I train on primaries ratings go up by between 100 - 200, and secondaries go up by between 200 - 300.  How much could I expect this to increase if I push my academies up to say Superior or Lavish?

CrowsFan

Don't quote me on this, but I think it is a 3% increase per academy level. So to go from a satisfactory to lavish would see an increase in training speeds by 12%. But probably better to wait to see what others say cos I may be wrong ;)

you get about 3% better training for each level your academy goes up, so if you go from satisfactory to lavish, you get an extra 12% training a week, this equates to about 20 more ratings for primaries (spread over the skills that they train) or close to 40 extra for secondaries

Master Q

What the others said but once you hit Superior the training efficiency goes down each level. So Superior is 3% faster then the level below (I think that's excellent) but Lavish is not 3% faster than Superior.

IIRC.

edit: To make a long story short, Superior is the best value academy level.

Cash cow benefits will outweigh the short term pain, it is my strategy until next season or maybe the season after. Affiliate bank currently sits at 3.6million and climbing.

Well depends how you want to play.

IMO, there are 2 "general" ways to play the game. a) is to build up players from youths or young seniors b) to buy older players and aim for quick success, sell them off, buy more oldies, repeat repeat repeat.

A lot of Aff's are Youth Farms  ;)

That's why I chose Canada, I don't watch, it's on at night.
This is also why I have moved my main team to South Africa, so I can watch.
When another Country is announced I will transfer my affiliate team to Australia and have a devastating team of 20yr olds that should swiftly move through the rankings + have enough to invest in Academies at an improving++ rate for some time.

:P I really should read the rules a little more closely and perhaps particpate in the FTP forum a bit more, thanks Cyrus.
