My Chumps

So we lost to Collingwood.
I can take that. We missed alot of opportunities throughout the game and probably should've won. Missed out on the 4 points but we still played good football. No worries.

Then we lose to Hawthorn at the death.
Tough to take that one, but still not worrying. Got seriously unlucky in that last quarter. Should've won. Played good football for most of the game. No worries.

Now today.
With a home final to play for, we were outplayed, outclassed, outwilled (even if that isn't a word) and intimidated by Geelong. Apart from the first quarter, we got smashed! It was honestly embarrassing from a team that most beleive has the ability to win the premiership this year.

Now I still believe we can win it, but I'm far less confident than I was before today. Now we have to travel to Adelaide to verse a bogie team of ours. Something like one win out of our last seven against them.
I'm worried guys!  :-[

im with you Chumps, we didnt play well, looked like witches hats alot of the time. AJ might want to bring his mouth guard to training this week after the 3rd quarter talk with Horse

Lol, it was a stern talking to!!

Agree with everything you say Chumps, nervous Swans fan here.

My concern with Sydney is even if they win they are playing their finals at the Olympic Stadium which in my opinion does not suit their game plan.  If they were at the SCG would have no qualms picking them but just this nagging concern that Olympic Stadium will not have the same fear for interstate teams.

TheMailman

We'll still beat Adelaide.

People can pull the "don't perform against top sides" as much as possible but we've only been beaten with any sort of conviction once

This is in comparison to couple of times Adelaide, Collingwood, Geelong, West Coast and the Hawks have looked ordinary

My Chumps

I hope you're right Mailman!

Hopefully Grundy doesn't get rubbed out because then we'll definietly struggle dealing with Walker and Tippet...

I think we can do the job this week. The last month of tough footy for us eill be an advantage compared to Adelaides softer run. We have been playing finals footy for the last month and that will stand us in good stead.
As for ANZ, I think our new style of football this years suits ANZ stadium as well as the MCG, more than the SCG, so dont think this is an issue anymore

With Grundy out, AJ keeps his spot. Nick Smith comes back in and maybe Morton/Spanger for Walsh

AJ was never gonna get dropped... Played a good last quarter after getting a serve from Horse.

Is Reid back?
I thought he was, and if so he'll go straight in for Walsh.

Wouldn't mind Armstrong keeping his spot too. One of the few that used the ball well off the half-back line last week.
