Geez why can't people see that we do have a quality midfield a lot of people under estimate Moloney's value in our team it would give Pearce and Hartlett time to go in the half back line and become first class players running of the half back into the midfield Moloney will provide great support for our young guns.

What's interesting is they're looking to now trade with us in order to retain the compensation picks they will be getting from Pearce/Chaplin.

If I'm understanding correctly - it works on net loss. They've lost 2 restricted free agents so they get 2 compo picks. Bring Monfries in and they lose one of those. Obviously they think that pick (they'd only lose 1) is worth more than what they'll give for Monfries which makes sense.
Essendon is of course cooperating because they get something as opposed to nothing (we got Goddard so would get NO compensation for Gus.)

Not sure if the AFL is going to like that though... :-X
