Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't it better to finish 8th than 7th for Freo? I mean they will try for 6th but if there is little hope of that what's to stop Lyin' semi-tanking and only beating Dees by a few goals instead of 10+? First to go would be Pav.

I want to play him vs Dees but not if he's going to get vested.

Yeah you're right. If the Eagles finish fifth as expected, then they would definitely go for 8th to play the derby. But if the Eagles win, then the Pies will most likely finish fifth. Not sure if Freo would want to play the Pies at the G, even if they are down in form...

So many tough decisions this week! I'm one of the lucky/unlucky people that doesn't have Pav  :P

agree that this is of concern. might just trade him to be sure.

was he rested last week so that he would be fit for the dees and to win the Coleman??

Mate we all know anyone could be subbed off.. so thats a little silly however this article states several things ross has said
- doesnt wana change the team too much to flirt with form
- if pavs fit he will play, has a fitness test tomorrow and we will know before lockout (most likely)

if he plays and doesnt reinjure he will be in line for a big score, however if he fails a fitness test tomorrow hello swan!

No he was rested because of other results falling their way. He wanted to play but they didn't want to risk him unnessecarily. He was VERY sore.
