Brian Lake was a late withdrawal with ongoing foot and knee problems, but McCartney expects him to be back next week.

Whether or not he makes a return to my SuperCoach team is another question :P

Good for the Dogs to have him back though, going to need him to play a big game if they want to beat the Lions

may as well not show up, brown runs him legless every time they play against each other

CFC 1979

final round

knee problem

can't play finals

nope he's going to pasture.

more relevant is how much better howard was in his absence...

Will a week off freshen him up and make him score more points than Sam Shaw? I might take the risk, definitely having Shaw as emergency for him though.

Here here!  If only the Doggies started placing some faith in him (and he stopped partying with Libba).

I swear all my random 'failed' picks have saved all their jelly beans for the finals.

Howard was out through injury though not form wasn't he?

Since he fell into a lake last week, he should climb out of it and be back on the field this week.

I traded him last round anyway. The irony is that if I kept him I would have played him over Johnson who got a useless 57. Morris would have been my emergency who scored 85. I only kept Johnson cos he's playing Melbourne this round.

Lake will still be an option for me next season. He'll be relatively cheap again. And more importantly he'll hopefully have Morris, Williams and co to help him, freeing him up more. He's actually done pretty well under the circumstances. Just not for our supercoach teams lately.

was a great pick for his price, but like all players not quite elite, he had to go before finals. Good if you had the trades left to do it after the injury and bye carnage this season, I didn't.
