It is expected that Adelaide, North Melbourne and Freo will rest a couple players.
But what about the other teams

WCE need the win to secure top 4 spot
Hawks need the win to secure top spot
Sydney, Same deal as the hawks, but also at Skill Stadium so will be a tough match
Geelong need the win for a home final. Still possible for them to finish 8th
Collingwood need the win to get into top 4, since many assume WCE will lose.

So apart from the 3 teams i named at the start of the thread, all teams have a good reason to win/try.

I don't think Adelaide will be resting players, they will be desperate to win and boost their percentage as they still have a chance of finishing in the top two.

I have been against the idea of Adelaide resting all year but... some players in particular Thommo and Paddy looked tired yesterday even though they had big second halves, I'm only now after watching a few tired boys thinking they may just earn a general visit

Anyone reckon Sam Gibson's a chance of having a breather before finals?

Adeliade won't care about percentage as they need to win by around 200 to catch Sydney or hawks percentage! They just need a win and hope one of Sydney and hawks loose

Danger has been the one in mind that i thought might be rested,

Chelskiman

As long as Jacobs plays I don't care who they rest, though it would be great if Danger was rested.

SkyStud24

I hope Danger is rested, i would straight trade for ROK, since my opp has no cover, and i dont think many trades.

Me and my opp have alot of similiar players (only around 3-4 uniques), i have 1 trade left, so carnage on thursday might help me, assuming my opp has no trades left

and they play at the same time so they wont know the result before they play  :D

I'm thinking the Sauce, Thommo, Dangerman, VB, Talia might all be in line for a rest, hate to say it but even with a big win, a lot of these guys looked tired yesterday especially Thommo early

Adelaide will not be resting any players because if the Swans and Hawks lose they can take 1st spot

yep, but a GC coming off a big win will be in party mode and a nice holiday in Adelaide next weekend they won't put up much resistance, Crows will win big anyway and fringe players will be trying hard to impress

Didn't Sanderson say that he won't be resting any players? Although I'm pretty sure he said that mid-season, apparently they were managing their players through the week so they wouldn't have to rest anyone. Although Dangerfield and Thompson would be the main candidates for a rest, hopefully not Sauce since he was a late withdrawal a few weeks ago with the tight hammy (I think it was).

With the top 8 as tight as it is I wouldn't be surprised if we didn't see very many players get rested at all. Last week it was really only Selwood and it could be about the same this week too!

yeah forgot about the Sauce having a rest already,
I didn't think players would be rested either and he (Sando) never said it the media ran with it, but Thommo and Danger did look fatueged and it is the perfect game for them to actually get a rest now. Tired Sloane got the general this week, so I think it's highly possible now

Definitely would be the perfect game! I guess it's hard to tell. On one hand if either Hawthorn (playing West Coast) or Sydney (playing Geelong in Geelong) lose they will move to the top of the table and grab a home final which I'm sure they'd want. On the other hand though they are only playing the Gold Coast which should be an easy win, although that's what Carlton would have thought last week!

Just have to wait until Thursday I'd say.
