Didn't watch the whole game but from what I saw Nic Nat had a lot of contested marks and hit outs to advantage

yeah Nic Nat had more influence then Cox unfortunately would like to lock him in next year but has been injured a bit this season i think so not sure yet

NicNat is clearly the best SC ruck in the game. Stats in terms of SC were nothing alike at all.

NicNat took more contested marks, more intercept marks, he save goals and he created goals. His hitouts would have been 90% to advantage and he dominated in pretty much every contest he was involved in.

As soon as he finds a little more consistency he will be the premier ruck in the AFL an find himself AA.

This is a classic case of someone making a judgement by looking at stats without watching the game.
NicNat was the probably the best and most influential player on the ground. Cox was just OK.

I can see the point of some , and yes I watched the game . Hit outs to advantage were similar , de % cox 71 nic nat53% . Nic nat had far more contested possession . But 83 points vs 163 points !!!

+1 bartyboys, good to see you DO know what your on about, watched the game and you do know what effects SC scores

BUT there is that great big "grey area" we all love in SC which is "WEIGHTING"

this depends on the individuals, impact on the game, at what key points in the game they did what they did, and several other aspects.

It does seem extreme but I guess SC feels NicNat had a big impact on the game, stood up at key turning points of the game, and in general had a much bigger impact on the outcome of the game than Cox did.

I tend to agree.

Nic Nat by a mile, woosha said it best when he said "we still haven't worked out if he's a big or a small yet" add that to his hitouts to advantage and he's a SC star with massive room for improvement since he's only 22 with Cox still the #1 ruckman in the team, next year he could average over 120 if they shift some more responsibility to him from Cox

Im still trying to find the article that i read, but anyhow it said that NicNat wins 'more contested ball in a one on one' than ANY OTHER PLAYER IN THE LEAGUE... at like 70% or 78% or something. (still trying to find the article again). He is a freak.
