I thought facebook page was on fire this morning. I'll post every rumour they made hha.

Essendon and Fremantle have apparently discussed a trade which would see Greg Broughton land at the bombers and Tayte Pears return to WA.

Essendon and Melbourne have spoken this morning regarding this trade.

Essendon receive Jordan Gysberts
Essendon lose Brent Prismall & a 4th round pick.

Melbourne receive Brent Prismall & a 4th round pick.
Melbourne lose Jordan Gysberts.

Stefan Martin is set to become a Brisbane player today, in a trade that would send pick 33 to Melbourne.

Martin Successfully completed a medical and physical test and impressed the Brisbane coaching department in his interview.

Melbourne should also land Farren Ray with pick 49 which would cap off a very successful trade period.

Jordan Gysberts could also be on the way out with Hawthorn and Essendon circling.

The power are set to land midfielder Hayden Jolly from the Gold Coast for pick #30 and also have a few more irons in the fire.

They are circling several other players that they are willing to part way with a second round pick for.

Again, take your guess!

The Roos are looking very heavily into Gold Coast youngster Taylor Hine who at this stage will cost North their pick #38.

North are also tossing up whether to keep Cam Pederson, who if they do not trade for an early second round pick, may cost the club it's chances at securing Ben Jacobs from PAFC who have stated they want an early second round selection for.

Matt Campbell and Cruize Garlett have attracted no interest at this stage either.

The saints had tabled Jamie Cripps and pick 26 for Mitch brown, and have also met with hawthorn and offered pick 47 for Gilham.

The saints could also lose Farren Ray to Melbourne for pick 49 which would also be traded in with pick 26 + Jamie Cripps to get Brown

Matt Campbell and Cruize Garlett are set to nominate for the delisted free agency period in November after little interest throughout the trade period.

Aside from Ben Jacobs, North Melbourne are also in hot pusuit of Gold Coast half back Taylor Hine who was originally secured by the suns as a priority 17 year old.

I find it strange that Port Adelaide want a early 2nd round draft pick for Jacobs

Did he de-value? :P

I dont see why we would trade Broughton for Pears.  We aren't in need of a KPD

Well he does want to leave. If they don't do a trade he will just enter the draft and Port get nothing

Crows are in deep shower with Tippett... If found guilty then - according to SEN 1116 - they will be stripped of their first round draft pick, be fined $800,000 and Tippett will have his AFL licence deregistered, sp if he wants to come back to the AFL he has to go via the national draft

fair to say his trade value has dropped a bit lately   ::)

Sydney will probably still pick him up and pay him the same regardless

It's also ironic that the Lions offered pick 8 last year for Tippett.

I think all South Aussies wanted that to happen, we always new Tex would take over in 2012 anyway!

bit like Tippett wanting to go to Sydney but refusing to play for GWS   ::)

Speaking of Tippett, he will be lucky to play anywhere next year. Crows are in deep shower, his manager may have his licence revoked and the Crows could cop a fine worth one season of Tippett's pay

GREG BROUGHTON is currently on his way to the GOLD COAST this evening and will under go a fitness test and a medical test tomorrow with Guy McKenna. It's come to light that Broughton is not overly keen on leaving Fremantle, however it looks as though Ross Lyon does not have him in his future plans, causing some to believe he's being pushed out.

DAY 24 WRAP

Plenty to talk about, and apologies for this coming later than usual! But there is plenty of news to get through!

Kicking things off from news from this evening;

JOSH TOY has officially knocked back a one year deal to remain at the suns, and has told the club he wishes to be traded back to Victoria. It's understood, HAWTHORN, ESSENDON & WESTERN BULLDOGS are front runners for his services.

With Gilham already flagging Gold Coast as his preferred club, perhaps the Hawks and Suns would entertain a trade involving the defender.

Toy has already toured the Whitten Oval earlier in the week and and a month ago was spotted at Windy Hill Fitness centre with an Essendon official. There are also some rumours that he has also met with Al Clarkson, how much of that is true, we do not know.

JAMIE CRIPPS
Cripps is so homesick that he has told St Kilda that he will walk out on the club and to the draft if a deal cannot be sorted with WEST COAST before the 2pm deadline on Friday.

Cripps has also told the saints he refuses to be traded to Fremantle, which funnily enough is where he is from originally.

It was understood that the saints were trying to get a deal done with FREMANTLE which would see Greg Broughton land at the saints and Cripps to the dockers.

MITCH BROWN (WCE)
The saints have tabled Jamie Cripps and pick 26 for Mitch brown, but West Coast at this stage are adamant that they can get Cripps to walk to the draft where they would secure him there without having to come up with a trade.

FARREN RAY
Melbourne have tabled an offer for pick 49 for Ray, which would also be traded in with pick 26 + Jamie Cripps to get Brown should that deal go through. At this stage it looks as though pick 49 will get the deal done, however last week Ray's manager said it was likely that he (Ray) would remain at St Kilda next season.

STEPHAN GILHAM
ST KILDA have met with hawthorn and offered pick 47 for Gilham earlier today. We are still waiting to find out a result on that, however the Hawks may involve Gilham in a trade North to the suns if they can secure Josh Toy who wants a return back to Victoria.

STEFAN MARTIN
We expected news today that he would become a Lion, but no new news came through. Hopefully tomorrow we'll have something more solid, but it's understood that he will be trade to BRISBANE for pick 33. COLLINGWOOD also showed late interest in Martin, however refused to trade pick 21 to the dees, in order to trump the Lions.

HAYDEN JOLLY
Jolly has been heavily linked to the Power, but at this stage it looks likely that Port Adelaide will secure him in the delisted free agency period next week after Peter Rhode said this afternoon that they would not be trading any more of it's draft picks for players. You get the feeling he might go back on that if Port can secure a second round pick for Ben Jacobs, as they have a few more irons in the fire.

CAMERON PEDERSON
Still no new news! We are all waiting on the trade for Stefan Martin so that the dees can offer the Roos their desired second round pick for Pedo. However, on the contrary, North Melbourne are looking to keep the utility, and are understood not to be fazed whether he stays or goes. However, you get the feeling that if the roos don't trade Pederson, it may jeopardise their hopes in landing Ben Jacobs, as Port Adelaide have knocked back North Melbourne's later picks in the second round.

TAYLOR HINE
NORTH MELBOURNE are looking very heavily into Gold Coast youngster Taylor Hine who at this stage will cost North their pick #38. The deal looks ready to go through before the 2pm deadline on Friday.

JORDAN GYSBERTS
HAWTHORN are very interested in the 2009 pick 11 oerall from Melbourne, and are willing to use pick 28. However, there have been questions over his work ethic which forms part of the reason the dees have put him on the trade table.

If hawthorn don't pounce at pick 28, then ESSENDON are rumoured to part ways with pick 35 to get a deal done.

DAVID RODAN
David Rodan last night toured Melbourne's facilities at AAMI Park last night and met with Mark Neeld which could see him potentially become a demon.

Hawthorn and Richmod are also very interested in Rodan's services via the delisted player free agency.

TRENT WEST
There has been a rumor that COLLINGWOOD and RICHMOND have inquired about the services of TRENT WEST but nothing that we could confirm or deny. West looks to be on the outer at the cattery, with the incoming Hamish McIntosh all but pushing him to the side, with his future in doubt. West is still yet to sign a new deal with Geelong, and may put his hand up for more opportunities in the next 24 hours, with the trade period almost coming to an end.

He'd be a handy pick up for both clubs, who are looking to improve depth in their ruck divisions.

ORREN STEPHENSON
Another rumor floating around that COLLINGWOOD have shown some interest in the 30 year old as a "fill gap" whilst the likes of Witts/Ceglar/Gault develop over the next year or so. He'd be picked up for nothing via the delisted free agency period, in which he has said he will nominate for.

BEN JACOBS
Nothing new to report in regards to Jacobs. NORTH MELBOURNE are awaiting Melbourne to cut a deal with the Lions in order to obtain pick 33 which would be enough to send Jacobs home to Victoria.

HENRY SLATTERY
Slattery came out this afternoon and said that he wanted to move back to SA, given his wife is originally from Adelaide. Port Adelaide look set to pick him up in the delisted free agency period, however if Slattery doesn't get picked up, he said he will play in the SANFL next year.

ESSENDON CONTRACTS:
Kyle Reimers, Nathan Lovett-Murray, Brent Prismall and Ricky Dyson's futures are in all in doubt, with all four yet to sign new contracts with the club. PRISMALL has been linked to MELBOURNE regarding a trade, and NLM has yet to accept a new 1 year deal put in front of him by the club.

THE HOT TIP -
ESSENDON are renown for making final day plays, so don't rule them out of pulling one out of the bag on the final day!

HISTORY SPEAKS FOR IT'S SELF -
For those of you who remember, BRISBANE last year offered up their Pick 8 for Kurt Tippett, however ADELAIDE knocked the offer back, and wanted a bit more for his services. And well, what happened next is history. Tippett is about to leave Adelaide for nothing, or the crows will secure a very raw deal in return. A lot can happen in a year of football.

Cale Morton is set to go for a medical and fitness test lol at West Coast.
