Richmond are interested in either of Trent West or Cameron Wood.

Wood is pretty much gone at Collingwood, so they are keen.

flower that, I would not be happy if we recruited wood... west would be nice though!

Port Adelaide looks like it could become the new home for the infamous Greg Broughton to bolster its defensive stocks - could he be unleashed by the Power next year and once again become of DT relevance?

QuoteBroughton, 26, is contracted for next season with Fremantle, but AFL.com.au understands Port is considering making a play for him to bolster its defence, which has lost Troy Chaplin (via free agency to Richmond) and Jacob Surjan (delisted) since the end of the 2012 season.

What would they offer Freo?

not really sure mate, doesn't say in the article...

my prediction would be a multi-way deal involving freo (broughts) north melbourne (pederson), port (ben jacobs), and possibly melbourne (stefan martin)... etc

Good result for Port IMO... Really needed a key defender to bolster their stocks so this local boy won't hurt, and they haven't really given up much for him!

good trade for both clubs, Hombsch kinda fell behind Darley and Bugg etc, and Jake Neade is a gun... win-win trade

My Chumps

Silly trade from GWS, Port massive winners.

Hombsch is set to be a very good player... Just ask Mewomeow and Sid :P

BREAKING NEWS re Kurt Tippett
If Adelaide are found guilty of manipulating or tampering with a trade regarding Kurt Tippett, the consequences would result in Tippett being delisted and de-registered by the AFL. The only way Tippett can get back onto an AFL list is to nominate for the national draft, where he CANNOT SET HIS SALARY

Not sure what it means for the Crows themselves, but they confirmed that the AFL are investigating and will not comment further until the matter is resolved. A trade now appears extremely unlikely

PowerBug

Let's hope for the sake of the sport this doesn't happen. But Tippett has set this upon himself, a deal could've ben struck with GC or BL already and no-one would care anymore.

Will be an interesting next couple of days.

the crows didn't have to agree to be a part of this 'agreement' or whatever's being investigated, so its just as much their problem as it is his....

if tippett goes down, the crows go down with him unfortunately.

I thought facebook page was on fire this morning. I'll post every rumour they made hha.

Essendon and Fremantle have apparently discussed a trade which would see Greg Broughton land at the bombers and Tayte Pears return to WA.

Essendon and Melbourne have spoken this morning regarding this trade.

Essendon receive Jordan Gysberts
Essendon lose Brent Prismall & a 4th round pick.

Melbourne receive Brent Prismall & a 4th round pick.
Melbourne lose Jordan Gysberts.

Stefan Martin is set to become a Brisbane player today, in a trade that would send pick 33 to Melbourne.

Martin Successfully completed a medical and physical test and impressed the Brisbane coaching department in his interview.

Melbourne should also land Farren Ray with pick 49 which would cap off a very successful trade period.

Jordan Gysberts could also be on the way out with Hawthorn and Essendon circling.

The power are set to land midfielder Hayden Jolly from the Gold Coast for pick #30 and also have a few more irons in the fire.

They are circling several other players that they are willing to part way with a second round pick for.

Again, take your guess!

The Roos are looking very heavily into Gold Coast youngster Taylor Hine who at this stage will cost North their pick #38.

North are also tossing up whether to keep Cam Pederson, who if they do not trade for an early second round pick, may cost the club it's chances at securing Ben Jacobs from PAFC who have stated they want an early second round selection for.

Matt Campbell and Cruize Garlett have attracted no interest at this stage either.

The saints had tabled Jamie Cripps and pick 26 for Mitch brown, and have also met with hawthorn and offered pick 47 for Gilham.

The saints could also lose Farren Ray to Melbourne for pick 49 which would also be traded in with pick 26 + Jamie Cripps to get Brown

Matt Campbell and Cruize Garlett are set to nominate for the delisted free agency period in November after little interest throughout the trade period.

Aside from Ben Jacobs, North Melbourne are also in hot pusuit of Gold Coast half back Taylor Hine who was originally secured by the suns as a priority 17 year old.
