Hi All,

Current team for my prelims is:

Backs: Lids, Goddard, Birchall, Enright, Carrots, Suckling, S. Shaw (Lake, Spuur)
Mids: Ablett, Watson, Priddis, Pendles, Murphy Gibson (Jelwood, Adams)
Rucks: Cox, Nic nat (Redden, Big O)
Forwards: Stevie J, Danger, Sidebottom, Goodes, Martin, Zorko, Treloar (Cloke, Smedts)

$156,300 in the bank, one trade remaining. I'm in a few tough prelims this week, I see three key weaknesses in my starting side..

Suckling - History against Sydney is patchy (top score of 82 from 3 attempts, not in the best form, known to stink it up occasionally for a 40-50)

Gibson - Not quite a Prem, however consistently 90-110 for the past month, can he keep it up to be a like for like replacement this week for the injured Jelwood?)

Treloar - Coming off a break, never played the saints (who like contested football), can put in stinkers associated with 1st year players

Depending on which starting player is my weakest link, I would probably make the following moves

Suckling - Trade Spurr to Waters, move Suckling to emergency
Gibson - Trade Jelwood to Swan or Beams, move Gibson to emergency
Treloar - Trade Cloke to Tomahawk, move Treloar to emergency

HELP!!!!

mmm, thinking about which of the above trades would possibly give me the biggest points differential for starting players..

Starting Defender - Suckling VS Waters
Suckling's last two scores at the SCG were 70 & 30 (this is 2010-2011 when he was in form). Waters loves playing at pattersons (100+ in 6 out of the last 9 games there) - Possible points differential: 40-60 Points??

Starting Midfielder- Gibson VS Swan
Gibson loves Etihad, however Fremantle are tight defensively.. would expect a dip this week, 75-90?. Swan loves playing at Paterson stadium (his best performing ground out of those he was played more than 1 game on), would expect him to come out with a point to prove, not be tagged, and smash a 150+. Possible points differential: 50-90 Points??

Starting Forward - Treloar VS Tomahawk
Treloar has killed it since Shiels has been out, however has a tendancy to beat up on the other weaker sides (4 of his 5 90+ point games coming against bottom sides). Has no form-line at Etihad and his lowest averaging ground is in Melbourne (M.C.G) expect a 70-80 point game? Tomahawk is the best performing power forward at the moment (take out his concussion and he's averaging 138 the past 4-5 weeks). He should towel up Lake (J Riewoldt scored a 140 on Lake recently) and loves playing at Simmonds. Possible points differential: 50-60 Points?? also the added advantage of finally getting rid of cloke!!!

Based on this, a Selwood to Swan trade seems like the best idea.. So why is my gut telling me Cloke to Hawkins!!

Yep, Selwood to Swan looks like the right way forward..

This move got me into the GF! the other options would have resulted in me losing.

Cheers for the advice!

What about Cloke or Smedts to Tippet?

This was from last round guys. If I had done the suckers trade, I would have lost!
