Hey guys,

Thought I was cruising, was going to pull swanny in this week, still want to, but fisher going down kind of screws me.

4 trades left, $114k in the bank

Lids, Scottland, Birchall, Goddard, Carrots, H. Shaw Fisher - C.Howard, T.Bell

Ablett, Watson, Boyd, Penders, J.Kennedy, Gibson - Miles, Baugley

Cox, Maric - Redden, Campbell

Beams, Franklin, Sidebottom, Martin, Danger, Zorko, Goodes - M.Robinson, A Kennedy

So I have to get rid of Fisher, because C.Howard is terrible to have on the field. Originally I was going to downtrade Robbo to nothing and uptrade miles to swan. Now if I want Swan I will have to offload Gibbo and that would only leave me enough cash for defenders under $259k....maybe T.Hunt????

Anyone have any bright ideas they might want to share? I would really like swanny, as my opponent doesnt have him, but will T HUnt fill fishers void well enough?

Thanks in advance

Just crossed my mind that if Lovett Murray isnt the sub tonight he usually scores about 75-80 and is under priced due to all the subbings. Maybe if he isnt the sub he can come in this week, then next week I can use one of my two trades to get rid of him incase he is the sub.... ???? Not conventional, but its prelim week, its all about unconventional

Mumford

I am fairly set on swanny, but if I was to ease that up it would  open up alot of options, like

Gibson - Cotchin
Fisher - Enright

or

Gibson - Swan
Fisher - T Hunt/ Lovett Murracy

Which one scores more this week you think?

Mr.Craig

Robbo to Hawkins, Petrie or another forward you like under 385k then Fisher to Grimes. How about that?

Best idea by a mile. Upgrading Fisher to someone like Grimes is the key, may have to wait until next week for Swan or not at all. Backline is the issue more so than the mids.

Mumford

hawkins maybe, i dont think petrie, he will have mcpharlin this week and has only tonned it up three times this year.

Hawkins looks ok against WBD, is grimes really worth that much extra cash, enright against the dogs, or duffield been in decent form of late, both of which are cheaper and would allow me to get stevie johnson instead.......

The question is.....I want to upgrade on 3 lines

Fisher needs to be changed

Gibson should be changed but he can play on the field

M Robbo should be changed, but I have coverage both on the bench and field

Which two trades will I get the most points out of......... I still think swan will go beserk this week, 150+ and its about time Gibson had a bad week........ So i see that being a 60 point trade.

Fisher to enright/duff/grimes i see as a +40 trade, as I could have c.howard there playing and he would be good for 50 or 60

Robbo - Hawkins maybe a 20 point trade
Robbo to Johnson, he is every chance to get 150 this week as well, and my opponent has him, so that is a 70 point trade.....
but then again I have coverage for Robbo in Zorko against the power so he should prob tonne up......

Mumford

sorry my above post was just waffle, was thinking out aloud

kk, so hold on swanny till next week, at least with selwood going down I think my opp has to keep gibson on the field as well

what is a better trade

Fisher - Grimes
Robbo - Hawkins with Zorko/Martin on the pine

or

Fisher - Duffield/Enright
Robbo - S.Johnson with Zorko/Martin on the pine

Both reasonable trades, the question is; is grimes so good that I need to gamble on Hawkins, when I could get another solid defender and get S.Johnson, who is forecast for a big one!

Artax

Fisher to Grimes. I would not be opposed to downgrading Robbo and using the cash to get Swan next week. You can trust Gibbo... I hope

Mr.Craig

I'll still say Fisher-Grimes, Robbo-Hawkins.

How about Waters? Would you then be able to afford Stevie J?

Mumford

Actually I can go

Fisher - Waters
Robbo - Stevie

but

Waters hasnt really been setting the world on fire lately and with games against the pies and hawks coming up, I cant see him running around willy nilly .....

Ajax22

Going down the current route best trades would easily be Fisher - Hanley and Robbo - Stevie J. Hanley has done a lot better against the weaker teams this year and should be good for somewhere between 80-120. Stevie J has been a beast since pulling more midfield time and should monster the dogs this week. He should outscore Hawkins by about 30 or more each of the next 2 weeks and I really don't think Grimes is worth that much over Hanley.

The only other real way to get Swan would be to trade one of your more expensive mid premo's

Aaaaand you just posted that you can afford Waters. Get him and Stevie for sure

Mumford

Hanley does have to terrible teams to finish the year, but he hasnt tonned it up in 6 weeks and last weeks 90 was the only decent score. Waters risks having to do a shut down role, I still think Duffield is the smokey, his role has changed in the last few weeks and has been able to run around and get ball, but we have all been burnt by him before.

Doing Fisher - Waters, Robbo - Stevie I am drafting in 2 players the my opponent already has...........stevie thats good because that one less massive score that he will have over me, but Beau, im not sure

Anyway, that will leave me with about 8k, so long as swan doesnt get about 150 and gibbo gets close to a tonne I should be able to get rid of miles next week for a rookie and bring swan in for gibbo. That said, wait for next weekends carnage, ill end up using 2 trades just to cover, like I am this week....

Mumford

Just thought I would do the numbers

Grimes - 3 Game Av: 111.6, 5 Game Av: 110.2, Price: #454.1K, Last 2 Opps, Adel, Freo

Waters - 3 Game Av: 77.6, 5 Game Av: 85.4, Price: #407.1K, Last 2 Opps, Pies, Hawks

Enright - 3 Game Av: 67.3, 5 Game Av: 74.4, Price: #343K, Last 2 Opps, Dogs, Swans

Duffield - 3 Game Av: 101.3, 5 Game Av: 95.8, Price: $378.5k, Last 2 Opps, North and Melb

Based on that list I would have Grimes and Duffy 1 and 2, not much splitting them, Grimes has the better form, but Duffy, while also having decent form has the easier two games, not that NM will be easy, but Freo will be looking to play offensive high scoring footy if they are to make the finals. Where as Grimes will be under seige by the crows in SA then the dockers looking for blood

Not sure about Waters, Ive written him off, but will prob come out and make me pay....
