I was playing around with the ladder predictor last night and discovered that if West Coast lose both their games in the next fortnight Geelong can get to the GF without having to play ANY Victorian team. We have to play a few away finals, but it seems incredible that we could go through an entire finals series up to the GF and only play interstate teams.
It's debatable whether that would be easier or harder than playing some Vic. teams here.
The question is, would you rather play West Coast in an elimination final over there or North Melbourne here.

Surely u would rather play North in Melbourne. The last thing I would want to do is play an elim final v Wesr Coast in subi. North are going alright but still very inexperienced and shouldn't be too much of a problem v the cats. Tough gig making the GF only playing interstate finals though.

I agree. If we progress through the finals we will have to play interstate sometime I guess. In the end, you have to be up to it.

countdown for the premiership. We must win 4 games.

That's it for us this season. I don't think we can be to disappointed though. Freo where very good, and they are the best performed team in the second half of the season along with the Hawks.
We will lose a couple of experienced players again and they have to be replaced. Hopefully the young guys will continue their improvement next season, and maybe one or two others may pop up.
The fact is we are now back in the bunch of teams building up. I don't think it will be to long befor we are back in the mix for the top 4.
